Yep. They had the Sooners to the wire. Michigan to the wire. Play very well against the Suckeyes. This team was the best team with a garbage record this year.

This is a head scratcher... you have a defensive minded HC and an excellent co DC hire. Part of me wants to wish all these kids well where they go, but there is the old school "show some commitment to a choice you have made" side that just wants them to learn a lesson too. Jeeeesh.

I personally think Kiffin would be your guy. High flying offense? Check Tempo? Check Cool slogans and connects with today's kids? Check Learned under Saban? Check Can do more with less? Check We all deserve "second chances" and after he learned on the sidelines at Bama, maybe in his aging years he can settle down and bring Oregon to the promise land (or even just the playoffs). The problem with going back to your alma matter is if you fail. Where you were once revered, it could turn into a disaster. Lots of examples over the years of this. So, best to build like Saban elsewhere IMHO.

I admit that i did notice a lack of pistol in the last couple of games, which is good considering how predictable it had become for opposing teams to stop. This offence is gearing up. Hopefully these last couple of games they will play lights out. Cheers.

Thanks DP for the morning read. I think being prepared for close, hard fought games is a good way to build resilience and character. These guys have not only fought the opposing team, but the "third team" in zebra stripes too. Also, arguably, the 4th team now up in replay with a lack of camera angles. I saw a twitter post from a duck fan that showed Brown Jr's knee down pre ball strip. Just ridiculous. As for the pac 12, maybe it's a better and overall balanced conference than given credit. You have UCLA who handled LSU quite easily, a team that almost took down Bama. You can Colorado who - through their own follies - should have beat a (sleeping?) unprepared Texas A&M team. You know, that same one that beat Bama in a thriller. Then you get Auburn who lost to Penn St, and Tennessee who lost to Pitt. Maybe the SEC isn't all that good this year. Maybe the SEC teams would each have another loss if they simply played 9 games. I digress.... The Ducks have every opportunity to make it and be competitive. They showed that against Ohio State. The "voters" seem to forget the Buckeyes tossed over 400 yards against the Ducks and still lost. It's not like they didn't move the ball, they just got ran all over. Just like the Ducks have been doing all year - running the ball down everyone's throats. The Ducks always play Utah tough. I expect this to be the case this weekend too. Cheers.

Oregon at 3. This is great. They just have to take care of business. No easy games left! Who else is confused as to how Michigan is ahead of Mich State?
