I do believe we've answered the age old question!

Let them paddle their own boat.
I hear they're pretty good at that.

Has Venables or Freeman ever been a head coach before? I believe that is DL's knock, along with being in OR. Therefore not anything important to the national media attention.
That's until we force our way into the conversation. Which we will soon!
That's my problem. So sick of the double standards, because OU & ND are Blue Bloods, and UO couldn't possibly get it done. We'll show them all!

Jordon ultimately lost some weight during his freshman year to shape up and be a great NT (his last year not withstanding).
Sadly he tried to lose to much weight to impress the NFL scouts, and ended up losing a lot of power.

I feel UCLA may be told "You are not going anywhere near the B1G"
USC should have teamed up with Stanford to leave. Since they're both Private institutions. Then the B1G gets LA & San Fran, and still gets the Athletics & Academics, without all the Bureaucracy.

I found a link to his merchandise on his Twitter feed. I'm buying his shirt and wearing it to the game in Atlanta. Hopefully posting it here is not against a rule:

I guess they forget where some of their better coaches came from. Ingrates.

Though I am sure that will go over like a thud with the other 9 schools.
The other 9 are always free to negotiate own their own.

If ND stays independent, I think it improves the chance of B1G admitting UO and UW, if nothing else, to help with scheduling for USC and UCLA.
I can't stand the idea of following USC to the B1G. Those arrogant jerks will act like we should be thanking them.

I hope that we wait and explore other, more ambitious options, first, as I don't think that a Big 12/Pac-10 merger moves the needle.
A Big12/PAC10 Merger is kicking the can down the road. We'll be right here 5 years from now wondering how a Stanford or Washington could have stabbed us in the back to leave.

Alabama/Oregon would be a Monster revenue builder.
I believe that what fuels this idea is the fact that Oregon hasn't played Alabama. If Oregon played them and got smoked a few times, I'm not sure how that would stand up.

I just can’t see Oregon going to the SEC. The travel issues make it implausible.
The travel issues are no different than going to the BIG 10. If they stand pat, they will be left behind.

By putting Lanning on par with his fellow upper level SEC coaches, there won't be a need for him to move on to greener pastures.
In my opinion, Lanning needs to prove himself for two seasons before getting a bump in pay. If he's a flop, he's not going anywhere anyways.

Joining the SEC is an excellent way to trump the so called Lincoln Riley wave of Recruiting. The SEC already is looked at as the best conference, so why coat tail with USC at this point? At this point fans in the stands, travel, & traditional rivalries are all trumped by the money from TV deals, so there's nothing to lose.

I also don't think that any schools in the big-12 would want to join the pac-12.
I think teams like Texas Tech & Oklahoma State were willing. The issue seems to be with the PAC and their Superiority Complex to certain schools.

Looks like Oregon is moving on to Joey Olsen, 2024 4 Star out of Lakeridge HS.

I'll admit, I excluded myself from FishDuck for a couple of years because I thought you were over the top in your judgement of what was out of hand. It took a permanent ban from Twitter and multiple 30 day Facebook bans to realize I needed a change. I feel a lot of my problems were reacting to ignorant posters, so your policy of keeping those to a minimum helps me to curb myself immensely.

Who Leads the 2022 Ducks in Touchdowns?
in Our Beloved Ducks
Posted
So many targets both on the ground and through the air. Tough choice. Especially not knowing the pecking order of the Two Deep yet. I want more balance in the offense, but I do feel there will be a higher percentage of runs.
I just realized every RB is a Sophomore or below. I like Whittington for his experience, but he's small. I feel the same about Irving & Dollars. That leaves either Cardwell or James, so I'll go with Cardwell based on experience alone.
