Oregon & Gonzaga both played their way out of a chance to host this weekend. The West Coast got the shaft (again), with only 2 hosts (Stanford & OSU). Although, nobody out West really stepped up down the stretch anyway. Maybe some day Oregon can stop shrinking in the shadow of Beaver Baseball. They are fairly even in most respects, but for some reason Oregon is scared of them when they play.

I think OLive had him pigeon holed into only writing about stories within the State of Oregon. Unfortunately Oregon was overwhelmingly the target of these stories more often than not. Now that he is out from under their umbrella, he is free to pursue a wider region for stories. So it makes it appear he may not be such an Oregon hater, even if it's only due to the increase in targets.
In fairness, some of his hit pieces on Oregon over the years were because some players had F ups that made the National news cycle. -

I don't know, the fact he chose Arkansas St for a visit over Iowa, seems telling. No matter what the Prediction Machine says. -
This is the 1st game I've shelled out the money to travel to and attend in 26 years. I hope they play loose, and my boy gets to see a good game!

I really was not a fan of the d1baseball predictions today. Oregon St. #4 seed, Oregon #13. A good Conf Tourney would probably put Oregon between 9 & 11 Seed wise. ( That means at least making the final )

That example of Kansas makes a lot of sense. Seems they should only apply the waiver in cases where the Scholarship #'s drop to a certain level. 59 is a good number, as it is 26 below the scholarship limit.

He's a kid out of Kansas (Bishop Miege HS). Saint Joseph, MO (Missouri Western St) is not far from here (3 hours), and he was a Freshman during COVID.

Is it true that any Transfer Portal kids that sign will now have to sit out a year? I heard the deadline was this past Saturday.

None of this makes sense to me. The prognosticators were high on Oregon right up until three 1 Run losses in a row to UCLA on the road. Now they act like they're an afterthought. All while forgiving every misstep the beavers make along the way.
I guess they just need to take it one game at a time.

Nemec alluded to Oregon getting a big time transfer in the next week. He didn't name any possibilities, but the timing is right on this.

My parents moved to San Felipe in Baja back in the late 90's. Back then it was cheap, but no longer. Gonna have to head further South I think.
