Oh not the roadkill/truck splash one again! Memory serves, I believe this is what OBD wore to get beat by Furd two years ago when we were ranked #3...
Hope it confuses the opponents more than our own.
But the lid is very nice indeed!

All signs point to Oregon BUT as noted he does have a lot of offers.
I have learned to not count my chickens, from the Dante Moore fiasco. Can't blame them, but the players are just not loyal to any team nowadays.

Brightest moment of my Saturday, thanks Mari no O! He is just such a bad game coach, stubborn as hell and never learns. It's a miracle that his team is 4-1.
-
Real bummer! Hope he recovers fully and comes back for the B1G OBD.

49-14 Oregon
2 TO's for Oregon

I think Ole Miss and ND will both win.

Shedeur is miles better than Shough, IMHO. Shough is bigger and maybe runs a little better, but he doesn't pass nearly as well as Shedeur. Shough also has a tendency to fumble or throw picks in crunch time, whereas Shedeur tends to shine. One will be a first-round NFL pick while the other maybe 4th round or worse.

I think Shedeur presents a similar threat as Pennix as he is very elusive and good passer. The key will be how well OBD D contains him. Our offense should be able to keep up for sure, but so can theirs if our D gets sloppy and doesn't finish tackles.
If I could bet (unfortunately can't do that in Oregon), I would take the under. I think we will end up winning, by only by 7-14 points.

Does this warranty an act of congress? That means the people must have strong opinion about NIL right? What's the opinion? Limit the amount?

He was actually quite eloquent in the 60-minute piece. I usually have a tough time understanding what he says, but not in that interview. Good for him.

Here is a youtube video by a MD... Take it for what it's worth. Of course a hit on the football field is not good for overall heath. The game is inherently dangerous. But the question how bad/dirty of a hit this was. I don't see it as that excessive or unnecessary. He was running down the sideline and could have still made a play. So was the CSU guy supposed to just avoid him and let him run by?

If OSU and WSU are the Pac 2, they get all of the assets minus liabilities. That could be tens of millions each.
Then, inviting teams to join the new Pac, they do not need to share their windfall.
After that, depending upon what teams they snag, their new media deal would probably exceed the Mountain West and/or the AAC.
I think this makes the most sense than them joining the MW. Pac2 should have some millions left after this year. They had 42M left after last year according to Jon Wilner... They can recruit the best MW teams to move to the new PAC.
The problem is that MW schools have to pay a hefty 17M exit fee if they give 1 year notice, 34M if less. Noboby there can afford that.
So OSU/WSU are indeed in deep water next year. Unless they both shine this year and get invited by one of the Power-4, they may not be able to play enough games next year. Oh how would the Beavs pay for that shiny new stadium remodel. Talk about terrible timing!

I don't know, but that hit didn't look that egregious to me. It shouldn't have sent someone to the hospital unless that someone is tired or weak. There's a lot to say about paying both sides of the ball and 100 snaps a game. He would've been a real stub if he could stay upright all season... Too bad for the Buffs.

And that school wants to pay something like a 20 mil buyout?
One that just saved 70M?
But I think this is classic fake news. DL is not that greedy, is he? Then not many of us thought Mario would bolt either... CFB is really getting less interesting now with all the big $ at play.

No kidding! How he got MSU to pay him that much was beyond amazing.

Hawaii will be my first game I get to go to this year!! Excited to see the Ducks roll in Autzen!!
Same here. Look forward to next Saturday. Certainly better to be 2-0 at this point.
Btw, any tip on parking? We will be driving down from Portland and plan to arrive by 4. Hopefully that will give us plenty of time to find reasonable-priced parking and make it to the kickoff...

Wouldn't it have been better if we had gone for 2-pt conversion after the pick
-6 and ice the game? Even if we failed, it would still be a 7-pt lead?

AAC just said no thanks to OSU and WSU.
AAC says it won't expand 'westward' as Oregon State and Washington State look for a conference

The Mountain West looks to be the likeliest option for both schools after Cal and Stanford left for the ACC on Friday. That's what ACC said until today about Furd/Cal too. One never knows. AAC schools get $7/yr, while Mountain West gets 4. Either one is a huge haircut for our poor neighbors.

They get to stay in a Power conference, also with better longer term $ prospects. PAC-X won’t be a P5.
Sure, but $10M/yr for 7 years will probably kill Cal Football, esp. if they continue to underperform... Furd got deep pockets, but not sure the culture there will tolerate long-term losses either... Interesting to see what happens.
Glad OBD at least gets a revenue boost.
-
So Cal and Stanford get 30% revenue share. What's that amounting to? $10M/year? Seems like they can do better by staying in pac-4 and add to it, no?

I hope this will be motivating for Nix and OBD. Let the performance and results speak for themselves!

Maybe Rob learned the lesson from last year's Georgia matchup?
In some ways, it makes sense to play Power-5 teams that are more winnable for OBD at this point. Let's try to make it to the Playoff a few more times before challenging the top SEC teams in these early season matchups.
