Worst than Utah last year... this hurts.

coaching your alma mater is never a good choice. I get it if he leaves, but man. This goes for basketball and football.

This is the game I was more worried about going into our final stretch a few weeks ago.. more than Utah and Washington mainly because we were home. This game will require us to be mistake free bullies

I wonder if he enroll in January.. he needs a playbook as soon as he can

Lanning proved why he was a great hire last night.

Here is my take on this, with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I'm very thankful for many things in my life!
First is my family!
Our Duck players, Coaches and our wonderful fans are right up there and have been for 50 plus years!
What is going on in Miami isn't on my radar other than to be very thankful for Coach Lanning and his Staff!
Go Oregon Ducks, beat those Huskies!!!
Yeah.. same. I could care less about Miami

TCU is basically The Ducks.. Big 12 version.
I just trust our coaches more than theirs

To have a chance Oregon has to win out and be impressive in doing so.
Tennessee - Georgia will mean one of them becomes a one loss team, Michigan - Ohio St. will mean one of them is a one loss team.
Alabama still has at LSU, at Ol Miss and Auburn. I wouldn't be greatly surprised to see them come out of that with an L, but also wouldn't count on it.
TCU has won several games by a shoe string. Could take a L.
Best thing for Oregon, Georgia butt stomps Tennessee, the OSU team up north game is not close (go Buckeyes), Alabama loses again and Georgia beats a one loss team in the SEC championship, TCU loses twice and of course Oregon wins out including an impressive win in the PAC championship.
Then there is a chance.
lol...
I want my Ducks to do all that. I just dont think the committee will get over the Ga loss. It was just the wrong game to play in a transition year.
I think I really need to see how the Ducks finish before I can fully evaluate if we belong in the playoffs. Its weird because, I know we can beat OSU, Mich, and Clemson. I really feel that.
I just dont want to go and end up like how Notre Dame does...lol

When you have an exciting offense scoring boatloads of points and QB Bo Nix lighting up the scoreboard with his passing and running the networks will set a game time that will draw lots of viewers! Go Ducks!
Ummmm, Ga and Tenn game is on at the same time.
Its really a bad slot next week. Im more inclined to just tape Oregon and watch Ga vs Tenn..

Why even make this thread? Smh
Disrespectful and just not called for

I hate he even entertained this...
Im sure Coach Lanning will talk to him about this.
we really need to ignore the Georgia stuff until end of the regular season

Dye playing for SC rubs me wrong. But like the case with MC, I like who we got. Ducks would smoke SC. Hope we get to find out.
Yeah.. Dye going in conference rubs me wrong.. but I get it. He trying to go pro and he thought a Riley offense was a better option vs the unknown we had.
I dont think Dye is better than Bucky or Noah anyway.. Things worked in our favor. Cristobal leaving and Dye leaving helped us

Oregon would have to absolutely take all of their remaining opponents apart convincingly.. and USC would have to have been undefeated to even be considered..Rose is the realistic option

Overall: INCOMPLETE (still 2/3 the season remaining)
1st Q / Trimester Grade: B
Reasons for “B” and not “A”:
- Slaughtered by Georgia. Could have earned an “A” with a loss as long as the Ducks didn’t get embarrassed, but they did.
- The WSU game. It was an exciting win, but I still maintain that WSU lost that game more than the Ducks won it.
- Riley (an offensive genius) turned around the USC O overnight. Lanning (a defensive genius) has not done that with the Ducks D. I believe defense is harder to do a 180 with, so until I see some tangible improvement, no “A”. I anticipate this will swing by the end of the year.
Riley put up 17 at OSU... Riley generally folds when his offense gets punched in the mouth.

I remember thinking I would miss Travis Dye...lol
Man, our core now is head and shoulders above Verdell and Dye. Its not even close

Chip did a good job with the portal..

I think we all hesitant to give the Ducks the W going there. Versus past years, I think our coaching staff now is equipped to handle games like this.

Great topic question...
Tough one. I hate what Taggart did to us, but I think his coaching philosophy was a better fit than Cristobals for the long haul. FSU didnt have enough patience to see a legit result. Im not upset they gave him the boot.
Cristobal had the time here and it was above avg regardless of the decision making and terrible offenses. He still won a big game or two.
Id give the edge to Taggart. I think if he had NIL benefits like now, he would have definitely succeeded every year.
Neither one will be able to do what Lanning will do for this university.

Miami is not that important to schedule a series with..
Let Cristobal go bore that Miami fanbase in peace

Embarrassing..
I wanna see Ashford or Butterfield.

No need to risk injury to one of the QB's heading into next season.

IMHO, he does not work hard enough to make as much of his natural talents as he could. It will hold him back.
I disagree.. his QB was awful. All the receivers were frustrated for good reason.
As for leaving, 4th year sophmore, its good for him to try the NFL. He is old enough.

This is a head scratcher... you have a defensive minded HC and an excellent co DC hire.
Part of me wants to wish all these kids well where they go, but there is the old school "show some commitment to a choice you have made" side that just wants them to learn a lesson too. Jeeeesh.
Alot of these guys probably wanted to leave during the season. I honestly dont know if Ill miss anyone on our current line with the way we were manhandled by Utah and Stanford

We've Gone From Risk Adverse Mario To Lanning's High-Wire Act Without A Net

I need to hear his postgame...
It seems we lost faith in what we do best.. why dont we use Noah or Bucky on goal line? Like why? Why couldn't we just hand it off on 4th and 1 on our 29 if you were so intent to go for it.. Bo keeping it there is definitely something a coach gonna tell the defense before that play. HE JUST DID IT ON UTAH.
