Yes I really think a good number of them felt a little too secure in their chances to win and never recovered. UW spanked us around on a neutral field. If Vegas it be believed UW basically outperformed by nearly two touchdowns. Yes I think the Ducks didn't have the juice and once they were punched in the mouth they never were able to get it goin on the two lines.
I personally believe the Duck team that played OSU should have between UW by at least two scores. Not let themselves be pushed around

We didn't win because we had far less desire than UW. Pretty simple. You gotta want it not just expect it.

I have no idea if this is reality or not but it most certainly appeared UW WANTED to win and the urgency was reflected by their energy levels. Whereas Oregon seemed like they EXPECTED to win. Couple that with Bo probably being too amped up was not a good combo. Also, did the O and D lines seem way off in intensity? What a darn letdown. As a former D1 middle-distance runner I simply can't comprehend not giving your best in terms of mental focus especially against a rival that beat us 2 years in a row. And the ref blocking the pass and that guy coming out from out of bounds were two very odd plays. All in all that sucked.

From what little I have seen he is not a very good runner so that is concerning.

Snack Belly and his trademark "eat the buffet" should thank his lucky stars Mike B recruited and set the table so very very well for him.

I was out on him before he coached the first regular season game at Oregon. The young guys begged for him to come on board and then he promptly coached them to a sucky showing in the bowl game.

For awhile I got sucked into Canzano and his very calculated clickbait methodology. But I came to the conclusion he cares not one iota about anything he writes about. He cares about clicks (all fine as he needs to make a living). So I find him to be an inescapably insincere public figure and thus don't read him anymore.

After watching Wisconsin and other schools' ways of getting everyone hyped pregame or during timeouts I am again struck by how utterly bland and tired almost every aspect of the U of O's fan interaction happens to be. Of course, I like Shout (though the timing at basketball games is often poorly thought out) but other than that it seems hopelessly outdated and low rent cookie cutter.
Any suggestions on what we might use as our pregame hype song or what else to improve the fan interaction? Or maybe I am just an old fart.

As for Coach Graves I think the players this year really like him and he and his staff are just like many programs trying to make the best of this current free for all in College Athletics!

NOW (next year, really) it makes more sense to schedule a blue blood in non-conference play since you can still win the conference and get in. Mullen did what many of thought he should do and give us a non-conference schedule we can sweep.
I think Alabama likes to avoid playing teams that are even vaguely okay out of the conference if at all possible.

Having not paid much attention I ask the forum a question: If college football dumps the NCAA and goes into some kind of super conference then isn't it possible UO could be placed in a more geographically appropriate subdivision? Like UCLA, USC, Washington, Oregon and perhaps a handful of other westerly located football schools? I would like that more than having to fly our students in all sports wayyyyy the heck around the country as part of the Big10
