Don’t discount the small guys… see BSU vs. UO last week. They can provide for some great entertainment. The more you consolidate the talent into fewer conferences the less NIU’s beating ND’s you have. You end up with a mini NFL which I find quite boring. I would really like to see the PAC survive, but it’s a steep mountain to climb with what’s left out there.

We can agree to disagree. It’s really the same side of two different coins. The ducks were the 3rd or 4th or 4th or 5th domino to fall depending on which narrative you choose to believe in ending the PAC. They played their part to end the PAC, but it’s not like they spearheaded the campaign. At this point, the same can’t be said about the Beavs and the Cougs as they are doing exactly that but in a different way, destroying another conference. One can argue they are both just trying to survive albeit in a little different fashion in this new cfb landscape. I am sticking to my guns and calling this article out as trash. The ducks are my go to team, but I always have rooted for the Beavs in every game but the CV. Still root for all the PAC teams. This article is a big piece of BS and I call them like I see them.

Putrid…That’s my one word. I hope to eat my words later in the season, but that performance was putrid, it was really stinky.

Color me unimpressed. A rushing game like this won’t hold up in the BIG. The players must have bought into all those hype videos a little too much. Let’s hope Lanning is playing 4D chess and this is all some sort of facade to make the future opponents underestimate the ducks, if not it’s gonna be a long season.

Great observations and article Darren. Was bummed when DJ committed to Clemson over OBD. There ain’t nothing wrong with the way he moves but DJ has a touch of the blues. The kid rock reference made me laugh, I see what you did there.

Ok, this may not be a popular opinion here, but Deboer is one hell of a coach who does much more with much less. The fact of the matter is he almost beat Oregon with Fresno State, granted with a Cristobal team. He is currently 3-0 against OBD with lesser talent. I wouldn’t count the guy out in the future regardless of where his classes may rank. The guy is a schemer.

Yep, I feel you Charles, but for better or for worse he is likely the backup right now. He looked better than just competent tonight, granted it was mop up.

Really impressed by TT performance tonight. Yes, it was in trash time, but passes were crisp and offense was run very efficiently. In his limited time playing, this is his best performance so far.

So sorry. My last post was literally targeting a player. I really don’t like the celebration after every play mentality. I will no longer post on the site.

I am not giving up on him SoGaDawg. I totally agree regarding the coaches as they see his performance everyday in practice. I hope he can prove me wrong. Maybe he is just a bad test taker. He knows all the material and has the skills, but for some reason on the day of the test he just lays an egg. He certainly looks befuddled out there. There didn’t seem to be a ton of drop off in the spring game between him and JB and that is the metric I am basing my opinion on. His on field performance in mop up duty should not be a high stress environment. He should be able to at least manage the game and move the chains a few times, granted a times he wasn’t behind the starting OL. Would just like to see JB get a shot as well, because if BN goes down the ducks are going to be in serious trouble from what I’ve seen.
