Totally makes sense that faith and family were fundamental in Lanning’s pitch to recruit Bair. That’s what the Bair family is all about. Demonstrates that Lanning dis his homework.

It’s true for any sport at BYU, including football. They do not schedule to play on Sunday. An event may be scheduled on Saturday and play bleed over into Sunday, but they do not schedule Sunday play.

Yeah. That’s interesting. It is interesting the PAC 12 would not invite BYU, yet BYU was relied upon heavily to fill the PAC 12 schedule over the years. The PAC 12 had a lot of benefits from BYU without BYU being a conference member. But those days (those benefits) are now gone with BYU being in the BIG 12 and BYU being limited in its out of conference games on their schedule.

Coach Lanning was at Timpview High School (Provo, Utah) today, presumably recruiting offensive lineman, Spencer Fano. Coach Lanning is pictured with my best friend’s son (the Timpview team manager), who is a HUGE Ducks fan. As a side note, which I feel is noteworthy, Coach Lanning is wearing OHT gear. Operation Hat Trick (OHT) generates awareness and support for the recovery of wounded service members and veterans through the sale of OHT merchandise.

I have to put a lot of this on Kyle Whittingham. Having lived in Utah, prior to Whittingham the Utah BYU rivalry was by no means friendly, but once Whittingham was hired, the rivalry became toxic. They were little brother to BYU for a number of years. My opinion is that, now in the PAC 12, Utah is overcoming their little brother mentality towards big brother Oregon. And it is the personna of coach Whittingham that has made toxic, the Utah fan base.
