He is open about what he does because he is a successful lawyer as well as a business man and has read the NIL law, rules and regulations and he knows he is not doing anything illegal or anything that violates NCAA rule and regulations. That's one of the reasons why if he takes them or anyone else to court he will destroy them. Like I said nothing will come from this and if you guys ever win a title you will probably get the same treatment, if you are not a blue blood the NCAA will try to make your life hell.

I honestly don't understand this thing you guys have with Mario, he left your program set up for a very nice run. In my opinion Ithink you guys don't have the right frame of mind. I have noticed you guys talk about ex coaches and say things like he wasn't a real Duck and that Oregon needs a coach who is a real Duck and is loyal and a lifer. Well if Lanning doesn't perform up to whatever standard Oregon thinks he should Oregon will not be loyal to Lanning and he will be fired. I don't think that would be wrong as football is a bottom line business and you either perform or you are gone. The U came out of nowhere and built a dynasty with coaches that were not planning on staying at the U forever. Lou Saban who got us the first couple of classes that became the foundation of our first sustained success left us for one of the service academies. Howard Schnellenberger or Shnelly as we always called him out of love and respect left us for the USFL after taking us to our first championship. Jimmy Johnson left us for the cowboys after getting us our 2nd championship. Erickson was fired after winning 2 more championships. Butch Davis left us for the browns after building the greatest college football team of all time. And last of them Larry Coker was fired a few years after he took the team that Butch built and won another championship and had he burned Frank Gores red shirt in the championship game against OSU after Mcgahee was injured he would have won another title. Through all these coaching changes us Fans were never sore about the coaches leaving we were always focused on who the next guy was going to be. As a matter of fact we had no real problem with coaches leaving as we figured if they left for a "better" job it was because they did well and we probably had another championship on the board. Sure we were a little sad to see them go but we understood that this was part of the game.

OK I haven't wanted to talk about Nix but I have seen some of his games in the past and I was never impressed with him. Having said that I do like your OC and think he will probably get the best out of him but if you guys are expecting a MVP year out of him I think you guys will be disappointed. On Van Dyke I don.t think he will be at the U after this season, he is going to be playing on Sundays.

He dropped his "final" 5 and Oregon wasn't in it. He did put the U but we are stacked at QB, not just our starter but our backups too. If he ultimately signs with us I think he could be a transfer candidate in the future. If he signs with us he in not playing right away, I would guess he would have to wait at least 1 year and maybe more and as high as he is ranked he probably won't want to wait.

Nothing will come of this, everything has been done above board. The U is used to this BS from the NCAA, we are not a blue blood and they have always hated us because we have destroyed the blue bloods before and they are scared that we will do it again. They try and do this to hamper our recruiting but in the old days the old board and administration would be scared but the new group isn't scared and the NCAA has already had their teeth kicked in when they have gone to court. Also if they target John Ruiz the most open booster that we have he will destroy them in court. If you guys ever win a national title you will probably get the same treatment.

Howdy, I am a fan of the U. I am almost 50 and saw all the national champion teams, and I have been lurking for a while on your forum. With that said don't take this as trolling but I think you guys are off on somethings especially the U. You guys like most fan bases talk about how Miami doesn't have their own stadium, well without our own stadium we came out of nowhere dominated college football. We won 5 championships and played for many more. think of all the teams that have their own stadiums and haven't even sniffed a title. Another thing is the talk of facilities, the U dominated with facilities that were some of the worst in all of division 1 college football. the average division 2 programs had better facilities than us. I am not saying that these things don't help but they are not as important as most people think. People think Miami has no money , again that isn't true the U has plenty of money and very wealthy supporters. we actually have some good facilities but they are not top notch. That is changing big time. the people that controlled the board have always been the problem along with the ex university president Donna Shalala. They never wanted to spend funds on the athletic dept. including football. As a matter of fact they use to take funds from football and the athletic dept. to fund expansion of the other parts of the university. That has all changed now. I think barring something that destroys college football like a nuclear war Mario will win at least 2 championships at the U. I think Lanning is a very good coach and you guys are in good hands. I see what Mario is building at the U and I believe that is what he was building at Oregon so you guys should do very well in the coming years.
