  1. There is a well-known saying, “nobody is perfect,” and sadly that even applies to the Oregon Ducks. They lost their first game of the season to the Indiana Hoosiers, which ended their bid for another perfect regular season. It seemed possible after a win over the Penn State Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium, the No. 2 team in the nation at that point, but that opportunity is gone now. Both the Ducks’ offense and defense played solid at certain points of the game against the Hoosiers, but ultimately, they didn’t do nearly enough to win. There was nothing extremely alarming that will plague the team for the remainder of the season. It was just a lackluster game coming out of the bye week for a young team, who we hope will learn from their mistakes. 6. It may be pitch black outside when the cameras start rolling, but there is a reason that ESPN's "College GameDay" keeps coming back to Eugene, Oregon, year after year. The crowd brings the electricity, and it is routinely among the best environments in all of college football. "GameDay" made its 13th appearance on Oregon's campus on Saturday morning ahead of the top-10 showdown between the No. 2 Oregon Ducks and No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers. This elite matchup will give one team an inside track to the Big Ten Championship Game and the College Football Playoff. Both teams have impressive wins over ranked teams like the Illinois Fighting Illini and Penn State Nittany Lions. However, we are still looking for another "prove-it" opportunity for the Ducks and the Hoosiers before crowning them true national championship favorites. While the game is going to be electric later today, the crowd brought the energy early on, with signs and chants that reverberated through the TV. Here's a look at the top signs and moments from Saturday morning: That Eugene 'GameDay' Crowd Top Oregon Ducks signs and moments from ESPN's 'College GameDay'

  9. On ESPN College Football Game Day from the Memorial Quad in Eugene, Pat McAfee proved again you can use statistics to misrepresent anything. McAfee told the live crowd and the national TV audience, "This Oregon defense has DUDES everywhere. Their numbers are excellent everywhere except for in the Red Zone. For some reason they haven't been able to keep people out of the endzone." What he said was superficially correct, but misleading. He left out the most telling, informative part. The Oregon defense has allowed opponents to REACH the Red Zone just six times, the second fewest Red Zone attempts allowed in the country. What's more, three of those came late in games against the third team defense. The Ducks rank sixth in the country in scoring defense at 12.2 points per game, 11th in yards per play at 4.16.
