Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted December 15, 2023 That axiom applies to employees, volunteers, players, coaches....everyone. It is not foolproof, but it works the majority of the time. Now how does that apply to our first-year young offensive line coach? 3 5 2 1 Mr. FishDuck
Haywarduck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted December 15, 2023 Two points you can argue against, the Freshman and the Transfer were all him. These are the two areas we need competence going forward, recruiting and picking guys out of the portal. Also the production has to have something to do with how he coached these guys. I would say greatness emerges early, but his guy isn't done becoming as special as he will become. This also reflects back on Lanning. He took at chance on a young guy, and once again he hit a long fly ball, which is headed way, way, way back!
Washington Waddler Moderator No. 3 Share Posted December 15, 2023 That adage has always reminded me a bit of the difference between winning and losing. Similar to a strength, winning teaches you one thing: you like it. It is then your job to sustain it. On the other hand, weakness - like losing - teaches you everything else about yourself and what you need to do to improve on it. Sometimes, some people might just surprise you.
