Ducks Hold Onto First in Pac-12 with 8-4 Win Over UCLA!

Recommended Posts

Oregon had a better hitting day than the eight runs represented, as we left an astounding 15 stranded on bases.  We were not getting clutch hits...until we did.  We finished the game with six of the eight runs scored when the Ducks had two outs!

Jeffrey Heard went 3-5 with two RBIs.

Drew Smith went 3-4 with two RBIs.

Jacob Walsh went 1-4, but hit a two-run homer and tied the career Home Run record at Oregon.

Bradley Mullan is about to throw the final strike to win the game!

Our pitching is improving, as RJ Gordon gave up four runs in 5.1 innings.  Logan Mercado pitched 2.2 innings in relief and gave up none, and Bradley Mullan pitched the ninth, and closed the Bruins down.

Our Pac-12 lead is still only half-a-game, as the Bastard Beavers also won today versus Arizona State.

Watch Our Beloved Ducks at 6:00 PM Saturday night.  Go to GoDucks.com, then Baseball, then Schedule, scroll down to the second game and click on "Pac-12 Los Angeles."

Added note: That was the first win at UCLA in TEN attempts, and the last time Oregon won on the Bruins home field was TEN years ago in 2014!

Bye-Bye Balboni! Never a doubt on whether this ball was going out (of the stadium.) Go you Diamond Ducks!
