1951, Washington star running back Hugh McElhaney was being paid so much money to play ball at UW that he said: "I can't afford to graduate."

 

From the earliest days of college sports, being paid to play and playing for more than one team was not an anomaly.

Exactly how it is with the WNBA right now.

All it will take is one of those scenarios being made into a court case against the NCAA and it is goodbye eligibility limits on college sports.

 

There is no compelling technical reason why you can't continue to play while you continue to go to school.
