Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted April 28 When asked why the Chargers would blow a No. 5 pick in the draft on an offensive tackle, (admittedly a very good one) Harbaugh responded with how he views the offensive line as a weapon. "They are the tip of the offensive scoring spear." I have not been a Harbaugh fan in the past, but I gotta love that quote. EastBayDuckDad Moderator No. 3 Share Posted April 28 Though not the only reason, look at how much the Lions have improved with Penei at OT. That extra 500 milliseconds of protection means a yard per play in the ground game, more completions and fewer INTs. That's why tackles go in the first round. Alt and Slater will make great bookends for the LAC O-Line and finally get JH some meaningful protection.
