August 5, 20241 yr Based on a quick count... only 5 of the recruits on this list are going to either Texas or TAMU. Granted... if you open up the list to any schools in Texas then it looks like around half (I didn't count) is staying instate whether that is Texas, TAMU, TCU, Baylor or SMU. But that's still a TON of talent leaving the state.

When USC was on top under Pete Carroll, he had Southern California locked down. You have to win your backyard, if you want to remain a top team in a fertile recruiting ground.
