Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted September 1 Santa Rosa Duck! He had a predicted score of 48-14, of which was 24 total points off the actual score of 24-14. Mr. Reliable, TerryM9, just missed with his 42-6 prediction by 26 total points. I wish the site was loaded with funding, so I could afford prizes...maybe someday. But Santa Rosa--savor it, as I have first crack each week in predicting and have not won YET in three years. Hats off to you! 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 2 Share Posted September 1 BTW...I do wish to thank everyone for reasonable discussion of a disappointing performance from OBD on Saturday. As I wrote before, discussing the negative is fine, as that is what a forum is for...and boy are we! But venting on fellow OBD members is not allowed, and not healthy. I have not read any of that, while I think all the negative comments have merit and generate further pondering by all of us. Negative-yes. Venting-no. And we all have been in the first category. Thank you! I love this community! 1 2 Mr. FishDuck
Santa Rosa Duck No. 3 Share Posted September 1 Thank you I prepped for this honor for weeks. Yes I will be back next week and a bit terrified of Boise State. GO DUCKS! 1
HDuck No. 4 Share Posted September 3 Given the proximity of Santa Rosa to Sonoma and Napa valleys, I propose that you send Charles a case of the local finest wines. Would help him take the edge off when he's having a difficult day in the forum. And, reinforce what a gracious winner you are after prepping for weeks.

A very kind thought, but I am more of a "whine" guy, than "wine" guy. There HAS to be some good IPAs in Northern California? 1 Mr. FishDuck
Santa Rosa Duck No. 6 Share Posted September 4 Charles, not coming to Eugene this fall but I will not forget my obligation for a fine Northern California IPA. Perhaps Etna Brewery.

TexasDuck No. 8 Share Posted September 5 Pliny the Elder, from Santa Rosa, remains the gold standard of IPA. Santa Rosa Duck, find a way to hook up Charles with some Pliny.
