Pickard was playing center right? When he was in... I think coaches getting too cute and rotating offensive linemen was part of the problem as well on Saturday. I guess if this is true that Pickard played well it might mean everyone having a week to get their heads out of their collective tears and working together as a unit might help us see a drastic turnaround. Solar No. 4 Share Posted September 2 That says a lot about our O-line play, if he was the best. That's not what I saw though. He needs a lot of scrimmage/game reps to have better vision of who is coming his way from where. He just looked a half second behind with his head on a swivel and reacting after he snapped the ball. Our O-line were venetian blinds on passing downs and rarely got to their block at the second level. And don't get me started about open field blocks on the perimeter. Maybe they can move Poncho back to center Cornelius to guard and Herbert to tackle. I'm only half joking. If it's another hot day next weekend, maybe everyone needs to take a polar bear plunge before they suit up to wake up and stay fresh.
Jon Sousa No. 5 Share Posted September 2 I was mostly disappointed with the O-Line play, particularly, that of Cornelius. He didn't play like one of the best tackles in the country. ¿TWO illegal formation penalties? That is something that won´t happen again. Also, WAY to many sacks. Right now, the O-Line is a weakness. I don´t think we should underestimate how good Idaho´s defense is. They are ranked 7th in the country in their division. They will no doubt be rated higher this week. We've heard experts say for years that the biggest jump that a team makes during the season is between the first and second weeks. Oregon now has an opportunity to prove that thesis.
