Posted September 28, 2024Sep 28 Virginia Tech is playing Miami tough. They picked off Ward at the goal line and just went up 21-14 in with 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. It's over on ESPN if anyone is interested.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator A freshman WR just dropped a perfect pass for Rutgers. Fortunately, against UW's D, just a temporary setback.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator LOVE IT. Huskies blocked a FG, but were called for illegal substitution. First down, Rutgers, then Touchdown, Rutgers 14-3

September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator Miami driving, Ward, 'so calm & collected, throws his 2nd INT of the game.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator Ack, that was the wrong time for a fake field goal, VT. Could have made it 30-17. Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by 30Duck
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator To be fair to the announcers, they think the penalty that just took an explosive play away from VT was a "really bad call". It was.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator Miami's run defense looks like USC's against Michigan. Pass D isn't that great either. Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by 30Duck
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Author Wow, VT is not flinching against Miami at all! They just went back up by 10!
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Author The announcers just called Cam McCormick "The College Methuselah"!! Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by Ktmguy2018
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator Gag, VT has Ward sacked, but he gets a pass away. 1st down, Miam, 2 yard line. Gonna be sick.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Huskies are Cougin it though! The scarlet knights are up 21-10 with under 7 minutes to go.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Close to PI there, but no such luck... Drones drew some groans with that pass. One more play. Mario trying to make sure he get all his time outs in! Just. In. Time. To. Lose??? NOO00oooooooooooooooo, Dangit! Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by woundedknees
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Moderator UNREAL. Announcers over and over again, nothing clear to overturn it. But of course, it's overturned.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Thought it was a 50-50 call. But, since the on-field call was a TD, should not have been overturned.

September 28, 2024Sep 28 I honestly didn't think he had control, looked like the ball moved as the player was landing, I never saw clear control. Honestly don't think VaTech got hosed, totally would think that if I was a Hokie, but I thought it was the right call unfortunately. Miami should go down like 2 spots though, that was not impressive at all. Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by spartan2785
September 28, 2024Sep 28 If you can’t see clearly in like 30 seconds, should just default to call on the field. Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by JabbaNoBargain

What bothers me is that on the field it was ruled a touchdown, there had to be clear, indisputable evidence that the call was wrong. I didn't see that.

Yeah, but I never saw actual control by the receiver, I totally get the point of the call on the field, I just saw enough personally to go with the overturn, again I would be hopping mad if I was a Hokie fan. It's one of those where it can go either way, and you better believe the ACC room was telling the official to overturn it. Edited September 28, 2024Sep 28 by spartan2785
