Buckeye fans will really be upset when they see this video:

Sorry, can't seem to embed the video.  Maybe someone else can.

To summarize, up 7 with :11 seconds remaining in the game, the Ravens intentionally commit 10 holding penalties on 4th down to burn the remaining time on the clock before ending the game with a safety.  Since the penalty was on the offense, there were no additional plays.

Yep!  Gotta pass rules to stop ANYTHING Oregon does!  No more comic books in recruiting, no more private jets to offset the massive geographical advantage of the south and major metropolitan areas....and now they gotta stop the Ducks from doing this?  Even though Oregon got hosed by the rules giving a touchdown to Ohio State in the first half?

Damn.  The Bluebloods cannot grant the "New Money" a place at the head of the table.

It is not paranoid if they really ARE out to get you...

Would the NCAA be scrambling to change the rules if this was done by Bama or Georgia or tOSU or Texas?

I doubt it. More likely they'd be praising them for being clever enough to leverage the rules to win a close game.

Yeah, the way the snobs cherry pick what offends them and what doesn't is pretty lame. There are scores of things teams do during the course of a game to leverage the rules in their favor, "Hurry up and snap the ball before the truth comes out about who really caught the ball" being one of the more obvious. How about throwing the ball to the ground to stop the clock?

How about kicking off out of bounds to avoid the possibility of a big runback? How about stepping out of the back of the end zone or kicking the ball out of the back of the end zone to opt for a safety instead to giving up a touchdown or field position?

Come on blue blood snobs, have a little self awareness!

Dennis Erickson did this to Rick Neiuheisel back in 2009 right before halftime. It only gets noticed when it’s a big game involving a blue blood.

The good thing is the cat is out of the bag, so it can never be used against Oregon. However, we got a big win out of it.
