candyduck No. 1 Share Posted November 9 (edited) I know Mark Helfrich is a good guy but man is he tough to listen to as a color commentator!! I saw the Ducks vs. Them video from the Michigan game today! Man was that inspiring! I had no idea why the time out was called at the end of the game and the thumbs down thing. As I was watching, I was thinking, man that thumbs down thing is probably not so wise! Only to find out it was motivation from Gladiator...Brilliant!! I just don't see Mark having the vision to do things like this!! I feel like I have to turn the TV up just to hear his commentary! Obviously we all know that DL is the real deal and plans on being in Eugene for a long time! I have no inside info on Marks pre game speeches but if they are like his commentary, I'd probably take a nap!! DL obviously knows how to motivate and keep his players focused on the big picture as well as teaching them the value of being respectful young men.
