30Duck No. 1 Share Posted November 11 All through his senior season, and the pre-draft talk, Caleb Williams was a cross between Andrew Luck, Patrick Mahomes, Dan Marino, you name it. His season with the Bears, who have never had a 4,000 yards passer at QB, was going to be the best first season in NFL history. Guaranteed, Nope. Right now the best two rookie QB's are Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix. Of course, coaching has a lot to do with it. Williams is at Chicago, with Matt Eberflus, while Nix is being coached at Denver by Sean Payton.
Ktmguy2018 No. 2 Share Posted November 11 Bo played a good game yesterday against Mahomes and the Chiefs. The offense struggled some in the 2nd half, but Bo didn't hurt the Broncos and led them on a tremendous drive at the end to go for the winning field goal...which was blocked, unfortunately. From the 30,000 foot view, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix have clearly been the best. I'll reserve judgement on Williams for this year, but I think people are seeing that a pants-on-fire college career, running around and making crazy throws doesn't always translate to immediate success in the NFL. Now, if Bo could kick field goals also... 1 1

Ktmguy2018 No. 5 Share Posted November 11 I found this article fascinating! Williams was sacked NINES TIMES against New England. NINE! An NFL offensive line cannot be THAT bad, so something else is not working. I didn't watch that game but I may have to in order to see what Williams is doing. Miami fans are accusing Ward of playing "Hero Ball", always looking for the home run instead of just checking it down. Maybe Williams is doing the same?

Matt Hasselbeck is on with Cowherd, and he said, "9 sacks, 6 are on the QB" Williams is thinking too much, then things fall apart and it's a bad throw or a sack. He could get awy with, in fact it seems he preferred to, at USC, to go off script and just make plays. Won't work in the NFL. 1
