NIL Collective Funding: Ducks NOT Buying Everyone?

Recommended Posts

These numbers show that the Oregon collective is just bringing in 10 mil and that comes in at No. 20.

It fits as it sounds Oregon is often not the highest bidder but they know how to be competitive with their offers.

Dan Lanning and Oregon have been on an absolute tear these last few weeks. It has delightfully resulted in...

Oh and hey... I wrote something back last summer talking how a competitive NIL offer only allows coaches to START recruiting.

For many athletes want to know their worth is being taken seriously. For some they want the biggest paycheck possible and don't care where they end up but that is a minority by the looks of it.

Division Street is one of the "innovations" we are always hearing about surrounding the Oregon Program.

Ot appears to me that there was a concerted effort to put in place the "Oregon" version of NIL, that hit the ground running as soon as it was "legal and accepted" in the new NFL-lite.

Yes, deep pocket supporters (Not just PK) but it's seems they have a "strategy" and long term viability approach to OBD NIL program.  Don't have any specific details but I'm sure if I did that Division Street's NIL approach is as unique and varied as our plethora of uniform choices.

I would betcha that many other NIL programs across the country are taking note and modeling their programs after what Division Street has already been doing for a few years now.

Just another advantage of being a fan of a program that is laser focused on building it's "brand"!

Go Ducks!

So, I have a dumb question: how does NIL actually work on the ground? Can a collective simply give a player money and say, "there you go"? Or does the player's name, image or likeness have to appear somewhere? Like Quinn Ewers in the Dr. Pepper spot. Are there any rules, and who made them? In other words, does a player have to do something for the money, and if so, what? Anyone know?
