Post Season Travel Plans?

Recommended Posts

I was reading about the Conference Championship game and it mentioned that attendance might be low for this game due to PSU last minute invite and Oregon fans not wanting to travel to Indy since it is so far away with the anticipation of more playoff games down the road.

What are your thoughts on Oregon fans traveling to these upcoming games?

My guess is a lot of people will be saving their money for the playoff games and hopefully the natty. Are you planning on attending any or all of the games over the next month or so?

The word is that tickets to the game are highly discounted, and hotel accomodations are wide open because osu2 fans bought them up months back and are now selling and cancelling!

Poor Buckeye Fans!

Last I saw was $17 gets you in the door for the CCG. Thank you osu2!

It's a valid issue that CFB fans don't have $50k to burn on Super Bowl seats like NFL fans.

Heck even the NFL has every playoff as a home game for one team so at least one fanbase will fill the seats.

This idea of 4 total rounds of away games for the top 2 teams, if they played in the CCG, with fans in the stands is not going to pan out.

Even if tickets are free, travel cost will bankrupt everyone that isn't in the upper crust. And forget about the  students.

And then there is the matter of actually getting time off work multiple weekends in a row on short notice.

Stands will be empty and TV screens will be packed.

Let's hope there are a lot of Duck fans living near the playoff bowl sites!

We looked at going but from Phoenix to Indy RT, flights alone are $1,008 each. Plus hotel, rental car, decent tickets, food, etc, and we'd be looking at around $4k for the weekend. So no... that ain't gonna happen.

Our big screen at home with family & friends will work very nicely.
