30Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted December 5 Looking ahead to this week’s matchup, let’s check out the latest college football predictions from the Football Power Index computer prediction model. The model simulates every NCAA college football game 20,000 times and uses key analytics from both teams and picks winners based on a projected scoring margin per game. In total, the Longhorns came out ahead in 12,300 of the index’s calculations of the matchup, while the Bulldogs edged out Texas in the other 7,700 predictions.

Jon Joseph Moderator No. 5 Share Posted December 6 SP+ - Ducks by 3.2/ Texas by 1.5/ SMU by 5.4/ Iowa State by 3.7/ Boise State by 4.6 FPI - PSU by 0.4/ Texas by 4.1/ SMU by 1.3/ Iowa State by 1.8/ Boise State by 7 Do these computers sleep in the same room? My Vegas friends and I - GEORGIA +2.5 in ATLANTA! GET DOWN! UGA - Bad 1st half vs Bama. OL problems vs. Ole Miss. Beck threw 3 Ints. in Austin and still UGA easily covered. Texas - Did not impress on O at Vandy, Arkansas, Kentucky and at A+M. Texas destroyed a Florida team on its 3rd QB, a transfer from Yale. Texas ZERO Top 25 wins. Georgia - 2-2 vs. the Top 25 including the win in Austin. Mercedes Benz Dome - UGA's home away from its nearby home. I don't believe Texas has played a game in this stadium? AND BEVO'S BEEN BANNED! I guess Mercedes does not like all those horns Texans put on their MBs? 1
Nevada Dawg No. 6 Share Posted December 7 Truth be what I think it might be, despite their warts, I think the Dawgs have the far more battle-tested resume and the better team for facing a big game. Of course, I've been wrong before. It may all depend on which Bulldawg team shows up tomorrow afternoon in Atlanta. Truth be known, the only team the Dawgs have had trouble with in the Benz is (for them) the dreaded Crimson Tide. 1
