Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted January 10 You heard the latest? Beavis out-bid Auburn and Kentucky for the Duke QB transfer, and paid him 1.5 million for next year? Then spent another half-million on two tight ends? Canzano justifies it as "stepping up" as they work to build a competitive team with money....and they estimate it will take 5 million of new funds every year for transfers and recruits to build a competitive roster. Wasn't Oregon EVIL for being the school of money--in their view? Where is Beavis getting this money from? They have their own NIL collective, but I have to think that some money stolen from the ten who left the Pac-12 had to help. So they become NIL bidders--like the people they condemned in the past. And they condemned those who left the conference for more money, and they proceed to destroy another conference (Mountain West) with stolen money, and do so for more money. So Beavis, you've adopted Oregon's method now? Hypocrisy fits you well... 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted January 10 We'll see how "competitive" they are on Sep.20. As for "stepping up". Please?
Augduck No. 3 Share Posted January 10 To further fan the flames- on Jan 1 Dam Nation (their collective) sent out an email asking for donations in the amount of $41.21. They indicated this amount was created by a random number generator. I totally had to contain myself to not reply to the tweet that maybe they could also ask for donations in the amounts of $49.14 (2024 score) and $31.07 (2023 score). Another possible snarky remark could have been that $41.21 must be an expectation of what the average beaver fan could afford. Then again after a 5-7 season and sitting on the sofa during bowl season maybe they could dig around said sofa and come up with a few pennies. They also have the opportunity to save some pennies by going down to the local thrift store to shop for J Smith and D Martinez gear. 2 1
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 4 Share Posted January 10 And travel is terrible for the student-athletes. That's why we just added NO. Ill. as a football member.

You are thinking of the Mountain West, as they added Northern Illinois as a member, not the Scrap-12. 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
DuckFan93 No. 6 Share Posted January 11 They are spending the $$$ that we earned for them. Probably a last-ditch effort before they cancel their football program. Pathetic rodent behavior. Let's cream them again in the next Civil War!
HDuck No. 7 Share Posted January 11 Remember all the snark pointing their finger at UW and UO for rejecting a deal that had heavy emphasis on streaming and no firm commitment for traditional cable/satellite? That streaming "is the future." Some streaming news today: 1
