Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted Tuesday at 02:16 AM You gotta be kidding me...we finished the last two years at No. 12 in the nation in the D1Baseball poll, and we start this year in the same spot? THAT is continuity my Duck-Buddies, as Oregon returns SEVEN of the nine starters in the field, with a slew of hitters and pitchers acquired in the Portal. BATTER UP! Single game tickets are only $7.00! The schedule is right here with some dandies! 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 2 Share Posted Tuesday at 02:18 AM Ducks are a good program now, with many in MLB from Oregon! 1 Mr. FishDuck
ABNMoose No. 3 Share Posted Tuesday at 03:47 PM After growing up just outside Eugene but then leaving and living a bunch of different places, now in the Midwest, I am stoked for BIG TEN seasons. I know I won't be the ONLY duck fan in the stands for many sports. Just checked tickets for the Iowa baseball series. 6 bucks a game. 1
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 4 Share Posted Tuesday at 04:52 PM Other notes about the Top-25....Oregon State is No. 7 and we play them in a four game series in late April to improve both programs RPI rankings. Only two B1G teams are in the Top 25: Oregon at No. 12 and Nebraska at No. 24 Grayson Grinsell is back, and the Friday starter! Mr. FishDuck
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 5 Share Posted Tuesday at 06:03 PM Thanks, Charles for keeping us up to speed on the Diamond Ducks. You are the Vin Scully (RIP) of Eugene. I was surprised that only half of the old conference fielded a men's baseball team. The Pac-4 newbies bring the number to 13 out of 18 teams. With your help, I'll follow baseball more closely this season. Neither USC nor UCLA is ranked but Nebraska is ranked. Wow! How about OBD wins the double-elimination conference championship tourney in Omaha and returns to Schwab Field to find success in the NCAA Playoff? Go You Diamond Ducks! Nebraska was ranked last year, and went to the NCAA tournament as Indiana did. I do believe that USC is going to make noise and be ranked later--as well as be a tough series for us. The four former Pac-12 teams will elevate the baseball in the B1G, especially Oregon!
