I also want to thank Steve Hill and the entire Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority for the hard work and dedication they put in to making this day a reality for their city.” College Football Playoff announces 2027 National Championship game will be at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium WWW.ON3.COM . 1
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 2 Share Posted Friday at 08:47 PM Good News - Las Vegas, 2027. Bad News - January 25, 2027. Seeding will change in 2026. Come 2026, the Quarterfinal as well as 1st round games could be on campus if ESPN is not making the call. ESPN has no reason to lower interest in bowl games it is scheduled to broadcast. Locking in games in NFL stadiums means the season will not be shortened before 2031-32, if then. Las Vegas is the only champ game site announced to date that is outside of Dixie. I assume you mean he only site announced going forward that is outside Dixie. Need I remind you that both of Georgia's recent Nattys were played outside Dixie, in Indy and Los Angeles. I like the Vegas site for a very selfish reason: It is relatively convenient to my home in Nevada should I choose to see the Dawgs or the Ducks play there, a prospect that is well within the realm of possibility in the next couple of years.
