DrJacksPlaidPants Moderator No. 1 Share Posted Thursday at 03:01 PM I talked with Charles last night and he thought it would be a good idea to start a pinned thread for those looking to attend the Penn State game in State College, PA on September 27th. This is a thread where we can coordinate ticket purchases, seating, tailgate gatherings, hotel and flight plans, etc. There are a few websites selling tickets already. As of today, February 27th, the ones selling tickets to this game are StubHub, Vivid Seats and Seat Geek. The prices for tickets on all of these websites is very close. Keep in mind that will likely be a top 10 matchup if both teams can make it to the game unscathed, so the likelihood of College Gameday being there is pretty good. Ole Miss /LSU is the only other great game that weekend. At the very least Fox Big Noon Saturday will be there. This means that the prices may increase as the game gets closer. It also means you can sell them for a profit if you can't make it to the game for some reason. I have already purchased my tickets from StubHub which are in Section NCU, Row 81. I bought two out of a 10 seat block, so if you sit up there you will have at least two Duck fans nearby. I also purchased a parking pass in lot 25, so I have a spot in the tailgate area (and it's right next to the interstate). I don't know when Oregon starts selling their allotment, but I read that sections NKU and NLU are the designated visitor sections. Charles has already made some arrangements with regard to hotel rooms and shuttles, but I will let him chime in here to give more details.
Notalot No. 2 Share Posted Thursday at 06:48 PM (edited) My adult daughter and I are driving to PA. We are booked both Friday and Saturday nights in the north Altoona area at the Comfort Inn and Suites, Duncansville. The hotel is estimated 50 minutes from the Beaver Stadium. We have reserved parking. Game tickets are WHU, Row 74. Go, fight, win DUCKS! Edited Thursday at 07:07 PM by Notalot
DrJacksPlaidPants Author Moderator No. 3 Share Posted Thursday at 08:48 PM For those of you planning to purchase tickets on the west side of Beaver (what a stupid name) Stadium. Charles Fischer Administrator No. 4 Share Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM I am in the process of talking to everyone who indicated interest to begin to get the information to them. Bottom line is that we gotta make arrangements NOW or be left with few, and expensive options later. I am calling you to discuss lodging and head-count, and we do have a shuttle from the Hampton Inn to the game and back. I am working on a shuttle of some type from the airport to the Hampton Inn, and then back on Sunday. The shuttle Joe has arranged to the game and back from the Hampton Inn on Saturday will cost somewhere between $70.00 and $100 per person for the round trip. (We'll know accurately when I get the final head-count) And the shuttle company has invited us to their tailgate at the stadium! This is going to be fun, my friends! Joe, (NJDuck) has been incredible in all the research he has done, and he got four tickets to the game yesterday for him, his wife, son and I for $350 each, and they are on the 40 yard line. (Unbelievable!) Good tickets in decent locations remain, but they are selling VERY fast. You need to get your football tickets and airline arrangements immediately. Yesterday, I booked the last seat on the 6:50 AM Southwest Airline flight out of Eugene, so I would get on it NOW. I need to know everyone's arrival time in the Pittsburg International Airport so we can coordinate shuttles to the Hampton Inn. Let me know asap at charles@fishduck.com or call me. The three sites to buy football tickets on are Vivid Seats, Geek Seats and StubHub. Joe got ours on Vivid Seats, and the link to that site and the game tickets are right here, and again, I would do this TODAY. Our gang of four are in the upper deck Section WFU Row 78, on the 40 yard line. Other sections around ours are WJU, WHU, WGU, WDU, WCU, WBU, and WAU. On the other side of the stadium there are sections EJU, EHU, EGU, EFU, EEU, EDU, ECU, EBU, and EAU. 1 Mr. FishDuck

As DrJacksPlaidPants stated above Penn Sate is going through a renovation on the West side of the stadium. So any sections mentioned above starting with a "W" in front of the three letters is the upper West side seating of the stadium. The upper seating will be removed, but they will build temporary seating in its place to accommodate the fans. Below is a section of the article DrJacksPlaidPants posted. "Penn State brought down the press box and removed the upper seating deck on Beaver Stadium's West side this winter, part of the venue's massive overhaul that will impact the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Penn State will build about 7,900 temporary seats on the stadium's West side for 2025 and then build a new tower highlighted by club seating and suites. Kraft said that Penn State has contracted with the same company that builds stadium seating for the WM Phoenix Open golf tournament's famous 16th hole amphitheater. He also compared Beaver Stadium's interim West side look to the temporary stadium Northwestern operated last season during the construction of a new Ryan Field. "Honestly I think the [fans in the temporary] seating may have a better seat than they had [before] in the old West side," Kraft said. "Perhaps most notably, Kraft said that Beaver Stadium will be "really, really close" to its full capacity of 106,572 fans for the 2025 Penn State football season while major renovations continue." There will be a donate box (suggestion $10). This includes all food and drinks (beer, soft drinks, water). They will also have hard liquor as well (not sure if that is included). As Charles stated, once we get a hard count of the number of Duck fans going, I will be able to let Jackie know. They will be the one preparing the food. Will be fun to greet and meat Penn State fans.
