GatOrlando No. 1 Share Posted Monday at 11:15 AM Seems like the Ducks keep rolling. "According to On3, the four-star prospect will kick off his visits with Texas A&M. After a visit to College Station, Johnson-Cook will pay some time to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Johnson-Cook also plans to visit the Georgia Bulldogs, but has not solidified a date. The Bulldogs are the first SEC team to offer the high school junior. As for the Ducks, Johnson-Cook has also not decided a time, but he plans for Oregon to be the fourth team on his spring tour. Though originally recruited by now-Ohio State running backs coach Carlos Locklyn, who left the Ducks for the Buckeyes, Johnson-Cook received an offer on behalf of assistant head coach and running backs' coach Ra'Shaad Samples last September." 5-Star Texas Recruit Schedules Visits To Oregon Ducks, Ohio State, Georgia Bulldogs WWW.SI.COM The spring season not only brings high hopes for the upcoming football season, but also a number of recruiting visits...
David Marsh No. 2 Share Posted Monday at 05:48 PM Right now... I'm going with Riggs. I think he's going to have a breakout season. And I'll call my shot right now. He's going to be the No. 2 back for this team. I think Hughes will probably get the no. 1 job and Whittington will be a change of pace back and might even start the season as the no. 2 but I think Riggs takes that spot. This season hurt without a true one-two punch. It was James and then... Whittington but outside of a couple games Whittington never felt like he was on James' level. 2023 the Irving, James combo was fantastic as they really did compliment and elevate each other.

I've just seen Riggs once in game action--at the end of the season. My instant reaction, though, was, "Wow! That's a special guy." It's hard to quantify, but he just moves differently than the majority of major college running backs. For me, it's one of those things that you can't really describe to anyone else; you just know it when you see it. I think Riggs has it.
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 4 Share Posted Monday at 06:24 PM The recruit in the article is an incredible athlete that is either peaking now as a sophomore in high school, or will become a HOF NFL player. The 2027 signing is a long ways off, but it is great that Lanning builds the bonds early to give us a chance... Mr. FishDuck
AnotherOD No. 5 Share Posted Monday at 09:40 PM Things looking up at the RB spot. Spring ball tends to be a bit "hit or miss"; but, one thing I will be keeping an eye on is 6-0 and 220 pound RB Jordan Davison. Don't think ther are too many (if any) high school football conferences across the country any higher thought of than California's Trinity League and he was that conference's offensive MVP. His school, Mater Dei, I believe was pretty a near consensus #1 in the polls after finishing an undefeated 2024 (including USA Today and MaxPreps). Add to that 2026 commit, Tradarian Bell, currently a "high four star", who, while I no longer watch a ton of tape, sure looked good in his. High school RB from Texarkana who has run a 10.51 in high school? Sounds a bit like another Duck RB LaMichael James, also from Texarkana, who displayed a lot of speed, who posted a 10.50 as a high school junior.
GatOrlando Author No. 6 Share Posted Monday at 10:10 PM He's already 6’3 and 220 pounds. This guy could be a nightmare matchup on the outside.

His physical skills and size are identical to a certain WR that gave the Ducks nightmares in Pasadena. I can't imagine having a guy like that being able to hit the hole as hard as Blount, but he might just be a unicorn.

I gotta tell you that is one Unicorn I wouldn't want to see coming down the field with me as the only obstacle to score. I played high school ball as a DB but since we were in Florida I knew I had no hope in guarding some of the guys I saw on film. Unfortunately we didn't have anybody better which is why I learned to have a five second memory. It didn't help me with any of my relationships though. Women always remember the first time they did anything with anybody.
