GeotechDuck No. 2 Share Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM (edited) Hmmmm. What is happening right now with recruiting and the portal? Are we just missing on every top recruit and every guy that has solid experience at the Power 5 level? I’m not trying to be negative, but on paper this offseason looks like a disaster so far. Hopefully this means Bittle is back for sure. Edited yesterday at 12:41 AM by GeotechDuck
Dave23 No. 3 Share Posted yesterday at 12:53 AM I wonder if Dana is just too old school for the modern college kid? Personally, I love him and think he's a great coach, but it has seemed that he has trouble getting buy-in from some players.
JB89 No. 4 Share Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM I do not believe Dana is too old school. My guess is we do not have enough NIL money to attract the top talent in the portal. I think the same thing is happening with our WBB program. It is simply a bidding war now. If you do not spend a ton of money you are not going to get the top transfer players. Also Oregon is probably spending the majority of their NIL money to keep the players currently on our roster 1
