30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted 5 hours ago A good sign I think. I read a blurb the other day that a player had committed to 3 different schools before landing finally, perhaps at Ole Miss. Commits are always good, but in the environment now, mean far less than they ever did.
GeotechDuck No. 3 Share Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Oregon recruiting, in both football and men's basketball, is in a serious downward spiral over the past few months. Hopefully, they can reverse course here very soon. Edited 4 hours ago by GeotechDuck

Solar No. 6 Share Posted 1 hour ago I'm slightly disappointed to not get him, but man, it's such a crapshoot. Like 1 out of all the playoff teams had a QB they signed from HS. It's more disconcerting to be struggling with recruiting this year with USC stepping so much, you do wonder how much USC is really affecting talent available to us. Like the players we used to steal from USC aren't available to take anymore so we are more reliant on stealing from non-west coast locations where we have a lower hit rate. How big of an impact is that? It's non-zero, but we won't really know until signing day.

In the end I think his parents influenced his decision due to the distance.
kirklandduck Moderator No. 9 Share Posted 1 hour ago I think if OBD can get him, Ryder Lyons is a better fit in WS’s offense since he’s much more of a dual threat type of QB. His size and talent remind me of Bo Nix, plus the 1 year mission he’s taking leaves some extra time for the already talented QB room to spread out a bit.
