FishDuck Article Administrator No. 1 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:11 PM Home advantage in sports has long been touted as a major factor in building a platform for success. When there is talk about turning a stadium into a “fortress”, it means that a location has an impenetrable feel about it, because the team that resides there, rarely ever loses on home turf. So how big of a fortress is Autzen ... 30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:52 PM I realize this article is just a regurgitation of facts, such as the capacity of a stadium, so of course tiny Autzen can't be as "rowdy" as much larger stadiums like Ohio State's, Pen State's and LSU's. Of course facts would indicate just that. But, not so fast. That Autzen, ask former Michigan coach, Lloyd Carr, can be the worst experience he's ever had, speaks about the rowdyness of Autzen, That nearly doubled in size Autzen can be just as loud as Penn State's crowds pushes the Rowdy factor clearly to Autzen's side. Penn State's cool thing is for everybody to wear white shirts. Wow!
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 3 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM My Duck-Buddies, above is a "Pay" article that I have to do in order to pay the bills. We had some generous donations recently to help with the upcoming site platform upgrade, and I am very grateful to all who chipped in to help. I thought the article above did have some interesting stuff about the "bounce," effect at Autzen, and it is nice to hear that the latest EA Sports game has moved our home field advantage up in their settings. Perhaps all the talk from the Ohio State game had an impact? Anyway, the SEO/Ad Agency that sent me the article is located in Riga, Latvia! Where is that? Right between Estonia and Lithuania of course! Riga, Latvia looks like a wonderful place to visit.... Mr. FishDuck

Jon Joseph Moderator No. 5 Share Posted 18 hours ago EA Sports is Lat(via)e to the party. EA is the only site I have seen that ranks Alabama No. 1 in the preseason. EA must love Bama QB Ty Simpson's work with a mop in garbage time? Then again, Meand23 Archie is favored to win the Heisman. In its top 25, EA ranks six B1G teams and 12 SEC teams. OBD is ranked 9th, behind a Texas A&M team that is Blue Chip when it comes to its roster and Blue Spit by the end of the season. Texas and LSU share the ignominy of giving up a lead and losing late to SC last season. EA ranks Clemson, which finished 2024 ranked No. 16 by the PO committee, ahead of OBD. In the last ten seasons, no team that finished the prior season ranked lower than 13th in the final committee ranking won a CFB championship the following season. Clemson is loaded with quality returning players, including a solid QB in Klubnik. However, these Tigers open with LSU, close with South Carolina, and, along with playing South Carolina on the road, have tough road games against Georgia Tech, in Atlanta's MB Stadium, and in Louisville against a team that defeated Clemson in 2024. Many of the same Clemson players on D who are highly touted coming into 2025 played on the 2024 team that gave up a lot of points and lost two close games in Death Valley. EA's most egregious faux pas is portraying Dan Lanning as a Zombie who forgot to shave. I know. We'll probably see Clemson vs. A&M in the title game. Everyone have a great and safe 4th! Speaking of Zombies, I'll be entering my Cybernetic Chamber at 11:59 AM on July 4th, with instructions to be awakened when The Forum returns to the world of the living.
