The first-ever college football game televised on ESPN?

Oregon in Colorado in September of the 1979 season. The Ducks won the road game, 33-19, and Rich Brooks was the head coach in Eugene. It was the first game with Chuck Fairbanks as the coach at CU.

Thank you, Charles. That's history worthy of Big Ten tradition.

The QB? I know it isn't Marcus, Bo, or Dillon, but as to the name of the player? I'm clue and less, and I'm not going to cheat and look it up online. And I'm not going to head to the library when it's 1 million degrees outside. 😛

In an era that didn't have many televised games, home or away, for the Ducks.... I believe the first ESPN game at Autzen was 1982 vs Notre Dame. And, that was the only televised Ducks game out of 11 that season.
