Posted September 25Sep 25 Administrator No. I like to have new helmets of each year for the avatars we all have when we post. As I was doing the photo-editing....I noticed for the first time that the wings on both sides of the helmets were different! How cool! Did any of you notice? Mr. FishDuck
September 26Sep 26 No. One side of the helmet has OBD's "normal" wings and in a tribute to Bowerman/Knight, the other side of the helmet had wings patterned after Nike, the goddess of victory.
September 26Sep 26 No. The Nike Goddess wing design is from the statue in the Louvre in Paris, France. https://www.louvre.fr/en/explore/the-palace/a-stairway-to-victory
September 26Sep 26 No. My favorite element was the US Army officer bar on the back of the helmet representing Major Bill Bowerman's heroic service in the 10th Mountain Division in Italy WWII
