1 hour ago1 hr No. This is unreal. Is Lin going to start making some shots at some point? Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by GeotechDuck
1 hour ago1 hr Author No. Half Time Oregon 40 South Dakota 34DUCKS should be crushing this team but South Dakota got it to 4 points just before the half. Playing at home, our DUCKS are not looking very strong.
1 hour ago1 hr No. Just more of the same, uninspired on defense, shooting is a little better, but waaayyyyy too many 3 attempts, no commitment to pounding it inside. Some awful turnovers. It's just a very mediocre team right now.Recruiting in both freshman and the transfer market has to be better. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by spartan2785

54 minutes ago54 min No. It's embarrassing how unprepared they look, there is no movement, no continuity, they don't know their assignments, no cutting, just passing it around and then jacking up a 3. No ability to beat a man and take it to the rim, there's no attempt to allow anyone other than Bittle to work inside. It's awful awful offense.Positives would be Lindsey showing some shooting ability, Bittle is still a beast, but it's just not smooth at all.I'm sure Altman is very frustrated. I think the starting 5 is decent enough, but when you have Lin, Demir, Carter, and Kobzystyi just not being at that level where they can maintain the lead, it's hard. Stewart is a good 6 man down low, but there just isn't much depth. I'm hopeful Phillips is going to be good as a backcourt option.
39 minutes ago39 min No. They will come around. A lineup of Shelstad, Simpkins, Lindsay, Evans, and Bittle looks very promising. Shelstad won’t be rusty forever and they will start to gel.Lin can’t shoot this bad forever. With him, Stewart, and Pryor contributing it will be fine. Maybe Phillips works his way in there, but after that I think the bench will shorten in a few weeks.Defensively they have the potential to be very good. Edited 36 minutes ago36 min by GeotechDuck

Tonight was frustrating at times, but it was better, the shooting was better, Lindsay looks more comfortable, Simpkins shot better tonight, Shelstad is at least trying to make his presence felt, I would like to see him try to get to the rim more. I would also like to see Evans more involved. At times they try to force it into Bittle which just slows the offense down. I don't think this is a team that can go into their deep bench much. It might be a season where it's a pretty tight 7-9 man bench.83 points is a much better showing compared to the previous two games. Huge step up when they play Auburn and SDSU, hope Shelstad is in better rhythm, maybe Pryor is back (they could use him). I'm always going to be hopeful they can rise to the occasion.
