We need to get Seaton so bad. We'll be totally set on offense if we do.

DL has serious depth issues. The entire 2nd string left. Gone. Not sure how replace it, but if we don't, we'll get worn down and see big drop offs when the starters need a break.

Hasn't the 2nd portal window been eliminated? Unless you're referring to the window for IU/Miami next week?

Seaton is visiting Mississippi State right now. His old OL coach, Phil Loadholdt is there. It’s looking like Lane and Mario are also going to make a big push for him. If Oregon loses out on him they’re still going to be in good hands according to Geoff Schwartz.

I read yesterday somewhere that Seaton is demanding $2.5 M to come on board.

Anyone have any theories for LB? Personally I would love to see Dottery from Ole Miss in Green and Yellow. Good instincts and athleticism and we need a signal caller for the front 7.

I’ve read that Oregon has lost interest. Seaton is making schools deal with his uncle and he wants to be paid to visit. This is on top of his asking price. Maybe DL has realized this is the type of situation that can ruin a culture.

Meanwhile, he’s in Miami getting police escorts around tow to get him through traffic which is understandably heavy this weekend. So, they will probably give him what he wants.

Miami has also gone all in on QB Darian Mensah from Duke. Apparently, they’re willing to buy out his Duke contract and terminate it. He will allegedly receive $10 M, an Adidas deal, country club housing and bring his sister in to play soccer+NIL.

While the whole portal bidding wars have become insane, it is nice to see some rags to riches stories emerging like that of Darian Mensah. Here's an excerpt: "Mensah grew up in extreme poverty, living with his mother Naomi and three siblings in low-income housing and relying on food stamps and church food banks. His family’s lack of financial wherewithal to pay for football camps was considered one reason why he wasn’t more heavily recruited." Sounds to me like he's playing the hand that was dealt him pretty well.
