Moore briefly chronicled his journey in a letter to Oregon Gov Tina Kotek where he urged the Governor to consider providing more funding for mental health services. I have always ...Indeed, HELMETS OFF to Dante Moore! Two Sites: FishDuck and the Our Beloved Ducks forum, The only "Forum with Decorum!" And All-Volunteer? What a wonderful community of Duck fans!

1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. Thank you, Don, for the great article, and hats off for winning the tournament. (I would have missed the putt 🤬) UCLA's Lauren Betts, the Big Ten's Women's Basketball Player of the Year, is another athlete who had the courage to speak up about her depression, which led to a stay in the UCLA hospital.I'm also glad you called out (un)social media, where cowards hide behind keyboards. Always great to see your articles up on the Forum. Keep on swinging!
1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. A big issue with mental health is the people that truly are in need of help many times don’t believe they have a problem.Unfortunately, it hits close to home for me. I have a nephew that is an adult and chooses not to seek help. He is delusional without medication, and can be a threat to others. Our family has petitioned the court for involuntary commitment. The mental health system can only hold an adult for a relatively short time…3 to 180 days. They are then released, and the process just repeats itself.I applaud anybody that advocates for this cause.
