BigDucksFan No. 2 Share Posted January 22, 2021 Question: "Is it true that to become a Defense Coordinator for Mario Cristobal you have have beaten him in the past ??" One other question I have is "how is his recruiting ability" ??
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 3 Share Posted January 22, 2021 Tasty article with tons of information about his background, and it will be fun to go back to the 3-4 defense that I was familiar with under Nick Aliotti and then Jim Leavitt. DuckFan No. 5 Share Posted January 23, 2021 If you can't beat them, hire them. There is nothing wrong with that. Pure confidence!
RatherBe No. 6 Share Posted January 23, 2021 A minor thing compared to a DC hire, but maybe recruiting can help shed some light on future plans. It seemed odd that Oregon wasn’t pursuing more DBs for the 3-3-5 earlier but even before Avalos’ departure had turned up the heat on top-50 recruit and OLB Raesjon Davis. Davis is still expected to choose USC, although he’s visiting Ohio State this weekend. What does Mario do? He offers a scholarship to Davis’ younger C/O 2023 brother. Another top Mater Dei kid.
