OregonDucks No. 1 Share Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) Per Canzano’s latest article: “The Big Ten’s media rights distributions were grossly inflated when they were initially released this summer. The real distribution figure is an annual average of $62.5 million, per school, less than the $72 million or $80 million figures that were originally leaked.” Canzano: Humility is good medicine for a coach (and us all) WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Candid and authentic... wins every time. OceaniaDuck No. 2 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Wow, that is fairly significant. Maybe, just maybe there is a chance to hopefully convince both USC and UCLA to stay in the conference, especially with the new CFP format.
Tandaian No. 3 Share Posted November 16, 2022 That is strictly TV revenue only. Making deep runs into March Madness and football bowl games also contribute big money. B1G TEN have higher paying and 2 more guaranteed bowl games and have more teams make it to March Madness. That money adds up.

Rufus No. 5 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Don't forget about the revenue from The Big Ten Network - BTN. I just googled the Big Ten Media Rights Deal and there is nothing out there saying the numbers were inflated. This article is the only one saying it, so I question the validity of the article. If this was true, it would be all over the internet with multiple articles - just like when the deal was first announced.
