I feel both happy and sorry for Richardson, he's being asked to do everything, with little help from his backcourt mates, injuries don't seem to be healing at all for any of the players, this season feels like a write off, and hopefully the studs coming in next year actually perform like studs instead of the last few 5 stars we've had.

Ware has turned into a bit of a disappointment, hasn't really had the impact someone of his recruiting rank you would hope for, I will say he's done more that Bittle who has been a complete flop of a 5 star.

Oregon faces road test at Colorado

The Oregon men's basketball program heads to the road to embark on one of the league's toughest two-game swings, and a trip for the Ducks in particular that's been very difficult. With an 8-6 overall record, Oregon knows it'll need to get a split to keep its NCAA Tournament chances alive.

Oregon opens up the road swing Thursday night in Colorado against the Buffaloes (9-6). Last year Oregon claimed their first-ever win at Colorado, and they carry an 11-15 overall record against the Buffs. Oregon is just 9-12 against Colorado under head coach Dana Altman.

Oregon men’s basketball heads to Colorado in need of resume-building win

The Oregon Ducks enter their first full Pac-12 road weekend of the season with a chance to earn resume-building wins. The Ducks (8-6, 2-1 Pac-12) open the new year ranked No. 72 in NET, well beyond any bubble conversation for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid at this point.

As Oregon needs a win tonight, Colorado — which is favored by 2.5 points — needs one to get back on track and keep one terrible loss from snowballing into numerous with Oregon State poised to visit Boulder after the Ducks.

Damn, the Ducks couldn't throw the ball into the ocean from the end of the jetty in the first half!

Good to see Bittle and Cousinard back tho.

Couldn't agree more. I can't remember them playing this bad in a long time! They're now behind 23 points at the beginning of 2nd half, 22-45.

Hard to win a basketball game when you can't shoot and can't pass, and can't rebound.

There wasn't any. With this team, if Richardson isn't able to carry the team, no one steps up. It's going to be a long conference season if they don't turn it around and quick.

Oregon men’s basketball has worst shooting performance of Dana Altman era, humiliated at Colorado

Whatever demons Oregon exorcised in its first ever win at Colorado last season are back. With a vengeance.

Oregon (8-7, 2-2 Pac-12) shot 26.9% from the field and had just three assists, both worst of Dana Altman’s 13 seasons

at UO. It went 1 for 14 from three, tying for the fewest of the Altman era (against Fresno State on Nov. 5, 2019).

Oregon suffers yet again another embarrassing loss

10 minutes without a field goal. As many field goals were made as turnovers in the first half (six). Colorado doubled up Oregon

on the boards (25-12). Poor free-throw shooting and easy baskets in the paint for Colorado on the other end.

All that happened in just the first half of basketball between Oregon and Colorado, and the Ducks were the wrong end of that performance.

The Ducks finished the terrible performance by getting blown out 68-41 to fall to 8-7 on the year and 2-2 in Pac-12 play.

Once again I question the type of players that we are bringing in, not one pure shooter on this team, that's inexcusable.  The guys we are bringing in for next year are pretty similar, slashers, it's great if you have guys who can get to the hole, or big men who can score inside.

In addition though you have to have snipers to open up the lane, and it seems like Altman has completely forgotten this.

I put this completely on how Altman has put together his roster, the team isn't constructed right, some of them are good pieces, but they don't go together.

Jermaine Couisnard debuts for Oregon men’s basketball in loss at Colorado

The lone bright spot in Oregon’s brutal loss at Colorado was the season debut of guard Jermaine Couisnard.

Couisnard was 2 of 5 from the field and 5 of 7 at the free throw line with one steal.

Oregon coach Dana Altman was pleased with the fourth-year junior’s debut and that Couisnard played the full

20 minutes he’s limited to in each game this weekend.

Ducks Fall Flat in Boulder

The first half was all Colorado, with the Buffaloes leading by as many as 20 points in the period with multiple runs of seven-plus points.

Oregon struggled on the offensive end, shooting just 24.0% from the field, 0-7 from three-point range and 54.0% from the free throw line.

Colorado came out of the second and built on their lead, adding five points to lead the game by 23 points at the first media timeout.

Oregon's offensive struggles lead to 27-point road loss against Colorado

The first game of 2023 for Oregon was one that needs to be quickly forgotten. From sloppy turnovers to bad shot attempts, nothing worked well for the Ducks in a place that hasn’t been kind to kind to them over the years.

The inconsistency in the rotation has slowly stabilized with more players returning from their respective injuries. Just four Oregon players have appeared in all 15 games this season, with Will Richardson taking on the majority of the workload.

OREGON.RIVALS.COM

Oregon struggled to generate offense with only two players scoring more than 8 points in a road loss against Colorado.

Yet again, you can’t help but consider what effect Tony Stubblefield had on both recruiting and player development. While he’s not killing it yet at DePaul, he did recruit 2022’s 3rd highest rated high school shooter in Zion Cruz. Dana is our coach, but he needs top level recruiting and input from his assistants.
