The first is the league's addition of USC and UCLA as the next wave of conference realignment. The second came Aug. 18 with a new media rights deal." Going for greener pastures, really, at the expense of the Pac 12. His acquisition of the Southern California schools was able to help get the big media rights deal. A lot of the AD's who hired Kevin are gone, it sounded like he was not going to get an extension. So, rather than being let go, he left. Smart move.
