Wow....An OBD Member NAILED the Precise Score?
I completely forgot to make a prediction for this game... My thoughts, as usual, were nowhere close!

Wow....An OBD Member NAILED the Precise Score?
I'm sure it has happened...but I cannot recall when someone actually nailed the exact score of the game (42-13) as FG Lumber did! No tiebreakers needed, and pretty cool. Thanks to all who had fun with it, and congrats to FG Lumber!

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
I honestly wasn't, Minnesota isn't quite as good as a 6-3 team as you would expect, they aren't bad by any means, but I had faith that our offense would show up, and I felt like our defense was a good match to what the Gophers want to do. We were at home as well in good weather. Great showing by the Ducks tonight! Having Sadiq back is a major upgrade for our passing offense.

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
My wife and daughter were screaming like banshees on the first couple of OBD series... they were initiating the 11 month old boy they were babysitting into the DUCK family. He ended up clapping and screaming "Go Ducks", too.

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
I was happily surprised by the success of our offensive balance forcing a good, aggresive defense into more of a waiting game.

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
I expected the Oregon players to be better, especially the linemen. But I was surprised at how good the Duck skills players are. Amazing throws and catches. That is the kind of stuff we need to beat competitive teams. Very positive look from the backup receivers and TEs. The pass coverage could have been better for the Ducks. Benson looks good returning punts - he wants to take it somewhere, not just settle for the catch. Benson looks way better than Dak in my opinion both returning punts and at WR. Run defense was really solid. Matayo was active. LBs and DBs did a good job of flying to ball carrier and bringing him down without much YAC. Oregon looked like a well coached team. Lanning and the assistants always have a body language of 'focus' and 'what comes next'. PJ was throwing hissy fits. Not a good look - it says: my team sucks so I need the refs totally on my side to even have a chance. This is the kind of mediocre team (Minnesota), late season game, that Mario Cristobal would have played down to their level. Ducks are set up nicely for the USC game. Just need to get some of those receivers back. As the season winds down, the contenders will be separated from the pretenders - what are USC, Michigan, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Mississippi, Oklahoma, etc. going to be doing?

Ski-U-Nah - I wasn't surprised. When on the road, these Gophers tunnel. 😁

How About That Protection Tonight?
Yeah the pass pro tonight had a lot to do with Dante's passing efficiency. I suspect Dante will have something to say about this (he sure as hell should) in the post-game interviews.

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
I was wowed by how well Dante slung the rock tonight. A truly awesome performance!

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
It was really encouraging to see the Beast with 8 catches tonight. We need that level of production from our playmakers. Great night for Dante!

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
They're been really bad on the road, so we shouldn't be too surprised I guess. But it's nice to dominate a team with a winning record. Moore going 27/30 was great to see against a team that supposedly has a great pass rush per the stats. I thought it was supposed to rain, but maybe that rain got diverted to So Cal for tomorrow..

How About That Protection Tonight?
Great points— you would never know Minnesota’s national stats, by just casually watching the game. Both Oregon coordinators did a great job tonight…

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
Single Game completion percentage, Oregon top 4 games .900 (27/30) Dante Moore – 11/14/2025 vs Minnesota .870 (20/23) Marcus Mariota – 11/3/2012 vs USC .857 (18/21) Dillon Gabriel – 9/7/2024 vs Boise State .852 (23/27) Bo Nix – 9/2/2023 vs Portland State I suppose an argument could be made that 3 of these 4 were in dink and dunk offense. But, Moore had some throws today that were not dink. Hard to remember those other games. After watching the two monsoon games, and having a couple receivers out, I wasn't sure what we would see in the passing game.

GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Minnesota...Let's Discuss!
Let’s move the conversation out to new threads on the front page!

How About That Protection Tonight?
1 sack and only a few pressures from a team that has the 6th most sacks in the country. That was an area of progress we were looking for. Minnesota also is really good at tackles for a loss. I don't know if they got any until our starting OL was pulled, then they got a bunch. Great job by coaches and players to get that cleaned up.

Minnesota Postgame: Were You Surprised?
I know I was surprised. I felt that with Dak and Bryant out, we were in for a tough road. But having the beast and Harkey back was much bigger than I anticipated. The gophers looked pretty tough in other games,… Were you surprised?
