  2. There was a play, in of those impossible to forget L's to the Huskies, a 50/50 to Franklin with JM covering. and JM knocked it down. Instant hatred of course. Then, with all that you mentioned about him, he transfers to Oregon, and he can't stop gushing. But he didn't make any of those plays for OBD.
  3. Or. should that be a nightmare! The Ducks should be thinking, "what if we get Beavis again in a Super Regional?" The expression is, 'it's hard to beat a good team3 times' The Ducks just took 4 straight. Of course, the law of averages would be in Beavis's favor, but especially the way the game went last night, Oregon is right to feel confident about playing again.

  5. PODCAST: Spring Evaluation Period Begins for Oregon Recruiting Spring visits are starting to slow down at Oregon and across college football. That’s because coaches are able to hit the road and visit prospects at their schools and go in-home for visits to make their recruiting pitches. On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins take a closer look at Oregon 5-star targets like cornerback Brandon Arrington Jr., offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell and quarterback Jared Curtis. Arrington was just on campus in Eugene for Oregon’s spring game, and now he’s set a commitment date for July 5. He’ll choose from Oregon, USC, Alabama, Texas A&M and Penn State. Cantwell just wrapped up his Oregon official visit, which looks like it’ll be the only official visit he takes before making his college commitment on May 13. Did Oregon do enough to hold off Georgia, who will host the coveted tackle for a May 10 unofficial visit? Curtis is set to come off the board and make his college commitment on May 5. Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein is set to go in-home with the touted passer before he picks one of Oregon or Georgia. Max and Justin also take a big-picture look at Oregon’s recruiting efforts in the 2026 class. It’s been a rough spring for the Ducks, who haven’t landed a commitment since February, but could that change soon? Official visits are already kicking off, with many of Oregon’s top targets scheduled to visit Eugene during the June 20-22 weekend. With a lot of the Ducks’ top targets aiming to make their commitments before their senior seasons start in the fall, we’re closing in on crunch time and when Lanning and the Ducks do their heavy lifting.

  9. I was very disappointed after the loss to Michigan. I thought Chip Kelly was above the three yards and a cloud of dust bs. I think both the Michigan game and the first duck game were the result of hubris. The Buckeyes coaches thought they could rely on talent alone. The Duck game was a wakeup call to the defense and the Michigan game a wakeup for the offense. I got a kick out of Saban calling the defensive scheme of the Buckeyes antiquated after the Duck game. With the expanded playoffs, teams can now experiment more knowing they can make the playoffs with a loss or two. Hopefully the Buckeyes will loosen up and get over their mental obsession over Michigan. The curse of Woody!

  11. It might make On3's recruiting evaluations better. Though I didn't visit Rivals on a regular basis because they just didn't offer much in the way of content.
  12. Pent-up rivalry payback can carry you a long ways. That’s the beauty of rivalries. The emotions are unseen and unknown - until they happen. Put most any other team up against Beavis but the Ducks, and they’re probably still No. 3. Wouldn’t be surprised if all they’re dreaming about right now in Corvallis is getting the chance to match up with us one more time in a super regional.
  13. Well in hindsight, one observation from last year is that Jabbar Muhammad was nowhere close to as advertised. He was supposed to be a first round, shut down a side of the field kind of guy, there was a reason we brought him on. Secondary seems like it was actually pretty sub-par but we masked that for the most part against teams with a lot of relatively poor QB play. I would think/hope our young talent will really start to show in the secondary this year.

  21. As Sgt. Schultz said so often and so well, , except whatever the Ducks' scheme was in the Rose Bowl was severely flawed. I can recognize talent, and people who know stuff say the talent is there, So, DL and TL have to "go to school" for next season to playout the way everybody wants it to. It's like baking. All the ingredients are there. But they have to be mixed just right, or it falls, or gets burned. Before you taste something, the aroma catches you. Sweet, sour either one. But never bitter, the aftertaste that never leaves. It's all there this season.
