Ryan Walk and Nate H were both walk ons who grinded this year.
In fact I believe without the injury to Walk who was dominating the center position and the line was working like a well oiled machine (250 + yards rushing 3 straight games) the outcome of the season may have been different.

It's very rare for a freshman to start and play extremely well. That being said said our QBs are not true Fr.
If they are better they will play if not we have a proven 1 now that will help us next season.
I believe it's a win/win for the Ducks.

Yes and now we may have the QB to make it happen whether it's BN or the rookies.

All season guys complained about us not having a QB with experience against UGA because we weren't playing our backups.
Now it seems we're complaining about having such a QB on our team.

Not so sure my friend. The other QBs know FB. If they are better they will play. Competition is what you want. It makes u better.

Nothing will be given to BN. Any coach worth a grain of salt will expect him to earn it. What ever the outcome it helps us.

Dillinghams a QB coach if he can't do both Miller would be a great hire if he wants to recruit. Would he want to work that hard. Only he knows that.

With all our losses of starters I propose we start looking at the bowl game as a glorified Spring training game.
Let's get all the players playing and not worry about how the game goes I believe that's the most important thing to do now.

As far as DL I agree with him. I hear a lot of HS players who are looking for a school say the DUCKS are their dream.
Love the optimism now lets get those players. Connelly a 5* OL out of Seattle is still out there. Do your MAGIC.
We just offered a top 2024 edge out of Phoenix. That's a good start. Also get after 23 5* DL J Wayne out of Seattle pronto.
Destroy Cristobal. He seems to be recruiting the guys he did out here to Miami. Tell and show how he didn't develop players.

McKinley is off to the pros. With James gone that leaves us Bridges and Manning starting CB's #3 is Dickerson with Barkins and Davies as backup. Only 5 CBs on roster now.
With receivers also gone it's time to consider the bowl game a glorified Spring training game. I don't see any way we can be competitive.

I agree with you that it's too harsh. I don't believe that. MC was who he was. He was a lineman and coached as such
He produced things I never thought I would see in Eugene. Top 10 classes of recruiting. Even with the success of the CK years we had trouble with that as he himself noted.
CK was winning by out scheming our opponents. He changed CFB. But he moved on. Everybody copied him to the point it's no longer an advantage.
The blue bloods are doing similar things to what CK did. The difference is they get most of the 4/5 stars like Thibs, Sewell, Flowe, etc. Jon Joseph has pointed out the Natty winners are over 50% BLUE Chips (4/5 stars) numerous times.
If we want to be in the hunt we are going to have to keep recruiting like MC.
Does that mean lesser stars are irrelevant? No Not even Alabama has all 4 and 5's. A great coach identifies the lower players that will grind, coach them up and help the team win.
This can be the only recipe to playing for a Natty. Except for the Senior dominated teams which can level the playing field between talent and experience. But that's only once every couple of years. With the way players are opting out for the Draft it's only getting rarer.
Hopefully we will still be in the position where we can get elite talent, coach up the others and be winning. Only time will tell.
