  1. SC guys actually had more positives to say about Oregon than they did about USC. I'd love to win a Natty in the next 3-4 years, but if it takes until 5 years, that will be okay. SC guys don't sound like anything good is happening at SC for a long, long time.
  2. Yes, there's little nuance to his role, and his never subtle position that he's right. On today's show he was making his point that Oregon's defense, giving up 31 to Ohio State, was perhaps not all that much and could have trouble in the future, seeming not to be aware that Ohio State's D gave up 32.
  3. In fact, Aaron Fentress insists he is not a "Hater" and he performs a necessary function on "Talkin' Ducks". The show would be useless, and boring, if it was nothing but happy talk about the Ducks every week. It is good to hear, perhaps a negative spin, if only to make the positive even stronger afterwards. So, while Fentress frustrates me every week, I appreciate it.
  4. Maybe the Dodgers-Yankees game will go extra innings and Rutgers @ U$C will be joined in progress.
  5. This was the plan with DAT, his position was Athlete, just line him up somewhere and get him the ball.
  6. Penn State -6.5 @ Wisconsin. Maybe I'm Full of Klatt, but PSU is just unimpressive to me, and I'll take Wisky to cover. Washington @ Indiana 6.5, with GameDay, without starting QB, Hoosiers cover.
  7. There was an article recently that talked about Trojan fans skipping the game against the Huskies next week, the Trojans will have trouble getting anybody to watch tomorrow. 5:00 Game 1 World Series, Yankees vs. Dodgers 7:00 Phoenix Suns vs, Lakers 8:00 Rutgers @ USC The Trojans game does start right after the Dodgers on Fox. but after sitting and watching baseball for 3 hours, how many of the "fans" are going to be inclined to start watching this game that won't end until after 11:00?
  8. The best thing about this is that U$C can't afford to get rid of Riley. They're $tuck with him like the shiny sportscar that looked great in the showroom, but sputtered and choked when you turned the key.
  9. Oregon Ducks' Loud Autzen Stadium Earning Reputation In Big Ten WWW.SI.COM The No. 1 Oregon Ducks have a true home field advantage in Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. The small stadium, by Big...
  10. Actually, the Pundit is wrong from the start. B1G teams might not believe it, but the noise level @ Autzen is well known, along with, "It's amazing that little stadium can be so loud!" 270 pound DT's? Those aren't B1G at all, and on the other side I'm carefully considering my Sacks number for tomorrow's prediction.
  11. JFOK won't give up. Last week he was sure that the hangover from beating Ohio State, the travel, the short week, would all be too much for OBD to cover the spread @ Purdue. Joel Klatt Picks Against No. 1 Ranked Team in Top-25 Clash in Week 9 "21.5 points is just too much," Klatt continued. "It's just too much. Illinois is tested, this is their fifth game against a ranked opponent in their last seven." So while there is a chance that Illinois may keep this close, there also seems to be a real possibility that Oregon, who has been playing great football as of late, can blow this one wide open. Klatt addressed that, noting that when he's picked Duck games this year, his track record hasn't been so great in 2024. "We are 29-14, so we do know what we are doing here against the spread," Klatt said about his game picks this season. "However, did you know Duck fans that I am 0-4 when picking Oregon games this year? So, you're welcome Oregon fans. I'm going to take the points for Illinois. I think Oregon gets the win, but Illinois covers. That's a good omen for the Ducks. I think this game is somewhere around Oregon 34, Illinois 17."
  12. In this article analyst Todd Blackledge analyzes what Ohio State's defense didn't do against Oregon, and it's quite a lot. Occam's razor tells us that Oregon was just better than Ohio State. Todd Blackledge considers how good Ohio State’s defensive line is this season WWW.ON3.COM .
  13. I concur. Back in the 70's, Ahmad Rashad, then Bobby Moore, did it the other way. He started as an all-Pac-8 WR, then switched and became an all conference RB.
  14. Go, Navy! Their playbook is run it to the right side, run it to the left side, run it up the middle, but they're undefeated so far,

  17. Not to be picky, but that should be, "They have the one loss" Didn't they teach that at Alabama?
  18. Greg McElroy Names Top 25 College Football Program That is ‘Notoriously Underrated’ "Illinois, they're sitting in a pretty good spot right now," McElroy said. "They got the one loss. That loss was to Penn State. I think they're notoriously underrated. They kind of always seemingly are when they've been good."

  20. Yes, it is, The Duck, or Duck, like Elvis.
  21. I don't know, in this scenario it's definitely about the points. Say you're down, 28-10, and you get a touchdown, going for 2 and getting it, makes it a 10 point game. If you don't, 28-16 or 28-17 doesn't make any difference.
