No doubt about it, Williams has an excellent chance of being Riley's 3rd Heisman winning QB, and there are a lot of QB's in the Pac-12 that will be very good, including at Oregon. So, I don't think the QB question at Oregon is the biggest for '22. Nix is a huge Get for the Ducks, so while the QB is the most important, impactful player, I have more questions about the RB's. I do feel good about Cardwell, Jones, Dollars and McGee though, and receivers, being a vital part of the offense is something to definitely look forward to.

Yes. Both sides have made good points regarding USC. I started, and still agree with the one made here. Beating good to great teams in your conference is better than beating bad teams in your conference. Now, I'm fine with Washington continuing to sink, but that's them.

Thanks for all of this. Clarity is what's needed now. The NIL and transfer portal have exploded because with all the signs that it wasn't the 50's anymore, nothing changed, but it can't be just piles of money now. Be careful what you wish for will come into play here.

That is the best advice I've seen. It took a long time for NIL to come about, football and basketball players were raising issues about the student/athlete model in the mid 90's. All the things you mentioned, and a lot more will need to be dealt with. The one thing about legal work is that litigation takes a long time.

As Charles Barkley says, "Live by the 3, die by the 3", There is sound reasoning to what you and Charles believe. But, I see the Bigs contributing more making Oregon better, not saving them. The Ducks were awful at the start of the season, now they've won 9 of their last 10, and it wasn't because Dante and Kepnang started playing so much better. It's a skewed stat, but Dante is the best shooter, % wise the Ducks have. They don't want to feed him the ball, but he makes shot's when he gets them. The major trouble is that a lot of the turnovers come when the ball is passed inside. So, stopping that could be a move to consider.

It is fun when I remind a USC buddy that aside from Carroll, the best coaches at USC are Ducks. Robinson and McKay both played and coached at Oregon before going to USC.
