Is Cristobal the Best Coach in the Pac-12?
It's a great debate, as it should be, But, while Dickert did a great job, at WSU, if he had beaten Cristobal and Oregon, and won the North, I'd say give it to him. Likewise, Smith has done a great job rebuilding OSU, but 7-5, 1-5 on the road, gets you an extension at Oregon State, not COY, in my opinion.

WHAT WE LEARNED ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
With the Committee, Alabama will probably stay til the bitter end. Houston has never been the same after this:

Cristobal or Whittingham, winner on Friday should be COY.

I feel like the Targeting Rule is ill conceived from the start. The intent is player safety, and that's fine. But the penalty is too severe when it comes down to a judgment call. Intent should be the rule, and should not be open to interpretation on a legitimate infraction.

Lincoln Riley to USC ??!!
They might get to "Good" faster than that. But Helton had talent, just never seemed to connect with the team or the fans, and SC fans are frontrunners. Helton wasn't a Name when USC hired him, Riley is a star. Snoop Dogg will be at practices again.

I agree that both did great jobs this year, Dickert saved WSU, and, but for a loss to Cristobal and the Ducks, would have won the North. Smith is doing a great job at OSU, but 7-5 overall, 1 -5 on the road? That gets him an extension at OSU, but not COY.

We call it as we see it here, either way, respectfully.

Lincoln Riley to USC ??!!
It was losing to Kansas historically bad for Sark this year, and Texas kept him. It's Bizarre times in Texas Football.

Lincoln Riley to USC ??!!
Gets it back in the Stoops family, would definitely ease the transition.

Oregon a Three Point 'Dog in Vegas
Definitely the step Mario still needs to take. His "Prevent Offense" is contrary to his desire to dominate, and control the game physically. Getting ahead and running the clock out achieves neither. If you get ahead, you keep doing what you're doing with even more intensity, until the other team loses all hope.

Lincoln Riley to USC ??!!
This now opens Oklahoma up. Their first season in the SEC, come in after Riley, what coach wants that?
-
Lincoln Riley to USC ??!!
This is what the Conference needed, and it helps both divisions, it should be USC @ Oregon next season, and it won't be on, "Pac-12 After Dark"

Cool it on Campbell to USC, but do the Trojans GO Big Now?
Great job finding and posting that, DeschutesDuck!

WHAT WE LEARNED ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
That's what I had as well. The Committee will show some foresight if they match this, by pushing 'Bama out based on that 4OT escape against Auburn, and not waiting to see how "Tough" they play Georgia.

Is THIS Where We Should Be?
This year, only Georgia and Coastal Carolina are averaging 40.0 and giving up 20.0 Scoring Offense Scoring Defense

What? WHAT was the Difference with Anthony Brown?
His numbers last night were much better than they were against Ohio State in the 'Shoe. In that one it could be said that the Ducks had a bit of, "nothing to lose", while against the Beavs, it was all on the line. Both brought out a QB that looked poised and confident. It doesn't make sense looking at it that way. But when AB is "On" the whole team feeds off it, the WR's are definitely happier. Brown has been consistent this season, let's hope he steps up even more when the games just get bigger.

Tweets: Cristobal Pac-12 COY and Alarming Stats
This is only one of the many points I agreed with in your post. Seems like there are 3 candidates, Smith did a great job with the Beavs, but you can't give a COY to a coach of a team that was so bad on the road. If Whittingham can deliver the Championship to Utah before he rides off in the sunset it's his. If Mario guides this injury riddled Ducks team to a 3rd straight Conference Championship, the COY is Cristobal.

It is hard to beat the same team twice, even more I think when the games are so close. The team that lost has the revenge factor, and is the 2 time defending Champion. Utah had all the ancillary advantages in the first game and they paid off. Oregon has added incentive this time.
