  1. Nobody is arguing about it. Oregon was No.1 before. But this one felt different. They didn't just end up there, it wasn't transitory. In this season where there isn't a "juggernaut" OBD has been the unanimous No.1. On ESPN's weekly show, they go through the rankings, from 25 on up, and there's discussion and arguments until they get to No.1. It's "Oregon at No.1" and that's where the discussion ends. For the rest of the show, we see Oregon with the 1 next to it, but nothing is said about it. How cool is that?
  2. This makes sense. Julian Lewis Chooses Deion Sanders, Colorado Football After USC decommitment CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Huge pickup for Colorado.
  3. Joey is a Buckeye, same thing.
  4. The last time WBB started 6-0 was 2015-16, (11-0). This team does look a lot different than the last years have. It's still early in the season, but they're playing already like an experienced team.
  5. With their schedule, why would they?
  6. This is right. Chip transformed how the game is played everywhere, now Lanning is steps ahead of the B1G. Oregon was dealt challenges no other team faced all season and triumphed over all of them. Not with the high scoring everybody was expecting but with 3-D chess coaching moves and a dominating defense. But teams will be making a fatal mistake if they think the Ducks offense won't take off. Tez showed how valuable he is by not playing. He'll be back. The playbook will be opened up, James and Whittington, after finally getting time to rest and reload, will run with even more fury. Oh. and the defense. It's just gotten better and better as the season has gone on. Ohio State didn't have to deal with Burch. Now the Ducks just need to officially welcome the Huskies to the B1G.
  7. They executed it just the way Lupoi drew it up!
  8. I can think of one.
  9. Makes total sense in the rational world; we're talking about the Committee here. Do they finally examine SoS?
  10. What if? The Committee couldn't have cared less about Indiana's #106 SoS so far. No.5 without playing a ranked team all season. But the Committee goes on the Eye test. Undefeated, No.1 Oregon, finally getting a break after 8 games straight, won't be playing while Indiana and Ohio State fight it out, now with Ohio State out its starting center. If Indiana wins, it will probably be by more than 1, at Columbus. Oregon has been sitting at No.1 for a while. ESPN would love to have some drama. What better than to jump No.5 Indiana over idle Oregon?
  11. Psychopath= best college football coach in the country. There is no rest for Lanning. Oregon is on the path of destruction!
  12. "CFP committee is saying they don’t care about your schedule as long as you win. The head-to-head rankings don’t make sense. UGA beat the #7 team in the country and moved up two spots while Alabama (who Tennessee beat) moved up 3 spots after beating Mercer. This is a joke."
  13. "Having 12 players on the field at this time is logical."
  14. I'm thinking the same thing. Get him back in uniform but keep him out of the game. Beating the Ducks would make the Mutt's season, taking Tez out would make them drool.
  15. It took a while. “College teams aren’t going to be at their best every single week,” Klatt said. “We were spoiled by Oregon, and they were doing it against a schedule that nobody else had to face. Eight consecutive games in conference, no bye, that’s pretty remarkable. At the end they throw out the one game where they don’t play well, and now I’m more impressed with them than maybe I was before, because they were still able to get a win when they weren’t at their best.”
  16. Absolutely. This is the result of "Eye Test" and everybody has the chart memorized anyway. Lanning is undefeated against unranked teams; that's all Indiana has played.
  17. AMEN!!!
  18. Could this be when the SEC is hoisted on their own petard? In the past, an SEC team that didn't even play for the SEC championship, got in the Final Playoffs, and now they would feel it justified to drop the B1G championship loser below a 2 loss SEC team that didn't make their conference final? The hypocrisy of that, and the 8 game schedule has to come due.
  19. These games can get interesting.
  20. This is even more important for football games.
  21. The SEC hype is really shrill this year. Texas's schedule is only slightly tougher than Indiana's, mostly because they played Georgia. Georgia's close win over Kentucky had nothing in common with Oregon's triumph over Wisconsin. Alabama played great in the 1st half against Georgia, then escaped with the win, then would lose to Vanderbilt. Ole Miss could be the best in the SEC this season but have losses to Kentucky and LSU. ATM lost to Notre Dame & SC. None of these teams are head & shoulders above the rest.
  22. Not Smart's pick. Even though he has a Man-Crush on Lanning, Kirby would pick Georgia. 1. Oregon Ducks While the rest of the college football world burns around them, there are the Ducks, floating calmly above the fray. It never seriously felt like Wisconsin was going to seal the upset in Madison last weekend, and sure enough, Dillon Gabriel made the plays he needed to make, despite missing his top target in injured wideout Tez Johnson. Oregon might not have the highest ceiling in the country, but they are absolutely the safest bet. Since figuring out its offensive line early on, the Ducks have cooked just about every defense they've faced, and Dan Lanning's bold game management gives them an extra edge when things get tight. Questions remain, particularly about this defense in the trenches. But you know exactly what you're getting from Oregon every time out, and what you're getting has been good enough to go 11-0 so far.
  23. This is the versatility that makes Tez the ultimate weapon!
  24. No problem with the "honorable" delay at all in getting this fantastic news!
