The Uniforms really are the message. Ohio State actually looked sleek against Oregon. The Michigan uniforms couldn't look older. As far as the uniform saying something, I think Michigan is louder. Oregon is going with its brand. Michigan is saying, "We don't need no flashy uniforms. Oregon is all show!"

The stats are great, especially on 3rd & long, which forever was exactly where whoever played the Ducks, want to be. But, we've talked about it here before, this D, in particular, plays, and looks, different than any other Oregon D I've seen. Bucker, Armstead, Thibs, Lenoir. all great players, NFL players. But I never had the feeling of optimism and calm, I have about games now, because of the defense.

I haven't been to many others. I went to Husky Stadium in 1980 and watched Reggie O & the Ducks win, 34-10. I was wearing Duck gear and while the Husky fans weren't pleased, there was no biting. Been to Corvallis, 3 or 4 times, Ducks won, wasn't very loud.

On any Saturday...is right. And if this was a different Oregon team, a different Oregon No.1 team, I'd be much more concerned. These Ducks are different, Michigan is definitely not what they were last year, USC beat them in the "Big House" a couple of weeks ago. Don't count the chickens yet but have the calculator close.

Outstanding article, and I don't know what kind of work the other Oregon Natty contenders put in, but I'm thinking it doesn't come close to this Oregon team. Not only is the talent and physicality unmatched by any Duck team, the work, the recruiting, the camaraderie is why this team is legit. And they'll just get better. I believe what Harmon says, "We're just scratching the surface. We've still got a lot of work to do. But once we hit that peak, people are going to know it."
