Anyone else think the idea that every school has veto rights on any conference decision is moronic?
For that matter, does the B1G actually have that policy?
Seems equally moronic to allow USC/UCLA have that same veto power before actually leaving the PAC, officially, doesn't it?

IIRC, Texas' financial demands were quite excessive...

A video surfaced on social media this week that appeared to show a Texas A&M staffer trying to sell — literally — recruits on playing for the Aggies. While showing the prospective players around Kyle Field, the staffer pointed to the luxury suites and said “Y’all getting a lot of money from the people behind these suites if you decide to come play here.”

Unless of course, BS happens to be the one in control of the bag.

I think the 70 pass uncorked on the first play from scrimmage in the spring game was a warning shot across the bow of every defensive coordinator Oregon will face net season.
I almost wish the Ducks had kept that under wraps for the first play against Georgia...

The shadow of Cristobal will fade from the northwest and I think this will really be the only recruiting class (besides last year's) where Oregon and Miami battle it out this extensively for recruits from the northwest.
It is all about relationships and connections. Remember these are cultivated for several years. So Cristobal has already put the work in on some of these recruits and it will pay out for him.
Not always though as we saw him unable to hold onto Iuli and Connerly.

That wonderfully profound literary treasure of yesteryear associated with some dude with the appelation "Alfred e. Newman", once posted a satirically misogynistic take on a popular clothing ad that began, "I dreamed I was way out in front, in my ... "!
Ah, but I digress from the seriousness of this matter.
Mea Culpa!
Keep up the good work, Charles!

5-star QB and No. 1 recruit in the country Arch Manning commits to Texas
WWW.YAHOO.COMThe nephew of Peyton and Eli is heading to Austin. He chose the Longhorns over Georgia and Alabama.
The biggest QB domino has finally fallen, this means the remaining uncommitted QBs (particularly Dante Moore) will likely have more attention paid to them.Interchangeable ears and hairstyles will do that!

That's been a nickname applied freely to the Wooferwhines for some time.
I first heard it as Dixon and Stewart were embarrassing Loyd Carr's team in Ann Arbor.

All incoming recruits benefit from being "coached up"... the trick is identifying those recruits who are willing and hungry to grow, instead rather than content with their own inflated egos.

But I wouldn't want to be in his shoes...
However, there have been many Duck forums that have met their demise, at least in part, by allowing rampant insults and abusive behavior on an epic scale.
I recall a particular site where I was far more likely to be disciplined for sharing info obtained through personal sources ("as opposed to their pay site"), than anyone was for vulgarity or abusive behavior.
It's refreshing, to say the least, to be able to relax and participate in civility.
Thank you, Charles!

Pretty bad when I remember Smith being the starting RB on the Harrington/Feeley led team I watched beat Arizona the last time I went to a Duck/mildcat at their house.
Dang, I'm showing my age...

I used to coach youth soccer...At one point, I had 5 girls playing on my boy's U-17 team.
3 were freshman, one was a sophomore... All were HS all Americans at that point (Don't ask me how... It definitely waas NOT my coaching).
3 went on to become lower level (George Fox and similar level schools) AAs.
The best of the group was NCAA Freshman of the Year for Boston College... A quarterback of her caliber is the kind of player ridiculous NIL deals such as Tennessee or AtM have thrown out are made for.
Cautionary note: After her freshman season, the FOTY soccer star never played again, due to injury.
The same could happen to any of these kids.

It was obvious at the time that there was more than trash talk occurring... I have little doubt the punishment meted out was exacerbated by the media presence, and the post Pout reaction to the donkey fan braying from the sidelines as LGB headed for the locker room.
Funny how the entire focus was on LGB, and the BS contingent was completely honorable in the eyes of the media.
The fact Pouty went down with one punch may say more about Blount's reaction than anything else.
A true thug would have kept whaling on him until dragged away.
